I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Sunday I took a class at NCI on Land Purchase. I already own land, I was one of the lucky few who were able to purchase first land. I am in the market for new land and thought I might empower myself with some new land knowledge. I am looking for a piece of land that is 2560 and is mainland, just in case you wondered.;).

The class was taught by the very lovely Rox Arten. She has an extensive background in land, from selling, renting, renting to others. This woman knows her stuff! :)

This class covered very basic information on land sales. It covered what requirements are needed to purchase land; How to locate land to purchase; what a land tiers is and how to purchase the land itself. The class also covered what the diffrence is between estate land and mainland; what a covant is and what a land tier are. Although I was familar with these aspects of second life land sales there was some information that was new to me. I learned about Land values, what makes land more valuable in one area than another. Armed with this new information I decided to start my search for new land. Sadly i must say I havent found what i'm looking for. :(. My search will continue.. who knows if i will ever find a place to call home.

Soo sad will I ever be able to find the land of my dreams
I have run I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found
What i'm looking for

Give a Little Bit

Holding on for dear life.

wow! what a busy weekend and its not even over yet. :) I have been working at Gin Rummy for the last two nights, and boy am I tired. Dancing is very exhausting, but such a great workout (he he) :). Friday night was our Formal event, Saturday our Trance event. The club has events almost every night of the week from 8-10 SL time. If you ever are looking for a club to hang out in or even if you just bored stop in to see us. We have great music playing and we're good company, we're friendly people and love to see new faces. I am usually there most nights and can be found usually on a pole or chair giving lap dances. Even if its a night off of work the Gin Rummy is where i always end up.

Lap Dance anyone?

we all know how much of a pain in the butt SL has been over the last couple of days, with that being said i haven't been able to get too much SL play time without a crash or loosing all my lindens (no good for shopping) :(. I found a neat little site called Second Life Profiles. Its much like My Space in fact i think its better than My Space because it's your SL life and gives you the option to add as much information as you would like on your RL. I spent a couple of min. putting together a page. I even uploaded a picture of RL Michelle :O. The great thing about this site is that i feel a real sense of community now. Second Life is something that not everyone gets and it can be hard to talk to RL friends about it. Also you probably wouldn't post or blog about your second life on your My space. This is a great way to meet new people, whether you are a new to Second life or a seasoned member.

Picking up the SL Gadget

One great feature that I have found so far is a gadget called SL Gadget (cute name huh?). This nifty tool has several features i like. it has Avatar Radar no more worrying about stalkers, or people when you want some "alone" time. Teleport System, lets you save your favorite places quickly no more looking for landmarks. Camping which will let you camp without the worry of being kicked off SL. Flight mode and Snow are the two newest items that have been added. and now for my personal favorites, Second Life usage, it records the amount of time you are playing second life and shows the information in your Second Life profile online. Private messages, once online if you receive a message it will notify you, never miss a message wearing this, and Orbit Avatar. Give someone a ride into space with this thing. for one gadget it has multiple uses and is something i recommend picking up if you are going to have an SL profile.

So i'll give a little bit
I'll give a little bit of my life for you
So give a little bit
Give a litle bit of your time to me
Now's the time that we need to share
So Send a smile, We're on our way home

I Wanna Be Bad ;)

I did get to take a class today at NCI (woot)! Today's class was on Consumer Skills, basically it covers some scams in second life, what permissions are and how they work, and how to rifle through the junk SL has. I found this to be a very informative class and would recommend anyone to take it. Carl Metropolitan (teacher of this class) gives detailed information on each subject, he is very helpful.

Well tonight was my night off of work, but somehow I managed to stumble back into The Gin Rummy again ( I really do love that club). Here I am in my school girl outfit, all pink and girly. Normally a good girl, but tonight the rules were broken and I ended up in detention. :(

Now I am a reformed bad girl. I have learned my lesson, no more spanking other students!
I did win tonight's contest for Naughtiest Girl :P. Thank you friends who voted for me.

now i will go back home sit out on my balcony and watch the Stars and dream of tomorrow, Oh what wonders does Friday have in store for me?

I wanna be bad
you make bad look so good
i got thing on my mind
i never thought i would

The Sweet Escape :)

Notice the Disapproving look i give this Hippo as he puffs his Cigarette.. Naughty Naughty

I started they day out wanting to take a new class at NCI (new citizens inc.), but due to SL lag I got booted several times and had to call it quits. Instead i decided to explore a new area and found an info hub in Warmouth. I had never really been to an info hub before, so this was something new for me to explore. An info hub is a gathering place in SL where you can enjoy a little quite time. This info hub has wonderful benches to sit in, a maze to get lost in and one of Second Life's mascot Hippos. I was immediately drawn to this Hippo and took several pictures next to him. I was unaware of the Hippos status in SL, until i found a note card on Hippos.

"This hippo was the winning competition entry from Aliasi Stonebender, entitled "SLider Jerusalem, Hard-hitting Hippo Journalist of the Future", after Spider Jerusalem, a fictional character and the protagonist of the comic book Transmetropolitan.

"Oh the great Hippo! Stomper of gnomes! Savior of all Second Life! How we worship thee! "

Apparently when ever SL has a bug the grid is shutdown and our savior Hippos are released unto the world to stomp out all the evil and return our world to its peaceful state. I have been in SL for over four months and was a shocked that I never heard this tale before. Perhaps we should reinstate this tale into second life. I have spent hours cursing the Lindens for closing the grid, but if i only knew the hippos were at work I would have shown much more sympathy.

SL National Hippo Day on February 15Th!

If I could escape
And re-create a place as my own world
And I could be your favorite girl
Forever, perfectly together
Tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet?

If I could be sweet
I know I've been a real bad girl
I didn't mean for you to get hurt
Forever, we can make it better
Tell me boy, Now wouldn't that be sweet?
Sweet escape
