Surfin' USA

Help Save Surf Co.!!

Back in April I was searching at GUNbie and discovered a wonderful designer Emma Gilmour. I immediately became hooked on her stuff. I bought everything that GUNbie had at the time and patiently awaited until her store opened up. Once her store was open I visited and shopped till my pocket book was almost empty. Now her store Surf Co. is located at the Artilleri Sim and my SL purse has never quite recovered. Point is, I really Love her clothing.
the style is great, I am never disappointed. The price is always reasonable, so even if I am low on Lindens I can always buy a thing or two, or three (lol).

A couple of days ago , I received a Save Surf Co. Sale/Fund raiser note card. Apparently Emma had a mishap with her computer and a strawberry milkshake. (the two don't play well together, and her computer suffered) Her computer is in need of repairs and SL is her only source of income. I totally feel for her. Just think about it, if anything happened to your computer and you didn't have the means to fix it what would you do? Emma opted to have a huge sale at her store. :) A brilliant idea!!!!

Her Artilleri location is where you can find the huge sale. Older items and her brand NEW stuff are all here, some discounted by 40-50%. She even placed a couple of donation pots out if you just feel like popping in and making a donation.

I managed to find a great T- Shirt in the dumpster behind Surf Co.

Now SL is a community, and right now we have one member of our community that needs some help. So if you are able to help at all please do so. I, along with others would hate to lose her great clothing. She is able to contribute so much to Second Life. So pop into her store and make a purchase, dive through the Dumpster, make a donation. After all Karma is a good thing and it will come back to you. Hugs and kisses Miss Bells ;)

Oh and remember Strawberry Milkshake+ Computer= Disaster!! Especially if you a little clumsy, he he he.

Makes Me Wonder

So the grid is down, AGAIN! I really am disappointed that voice was released so soon. I was having tons of problems on the beta grid before voice was released and let me tell you it hasn't became any better, in fact it worse now. (Sigh) I haven't had voice work for me since it moved off the beta grid. Well, I take that back it partially works. I can hear people but they can't hear me. So now I am faced with two options until this problem is fixed. 1) stay voice enabled and explain over and over again to people in text that I can hear them but they cant hear me. (kinda creepy and stalker like) or 2) turn voice off. I am going to go with option two, after all if I really wanted to chat with you by voice there is always skype. I love Second Life don't get me wrong. It just really makes me wonder what the hell is going on at Linden Labs.
I still don't have the reason And you don't have the time And it really makes me wonder If I ever gave a fuck about you - Maroon 5

The Simpsons

So in honor of the Simpsons Movie Burger King has a great promotion where you can get yourself Simpsonized. Basically it turns your RL photo into a Simpsons character. Now usually I like to stick to SL stuff, but this was way too cool, and I had to share. First here is the link to the site so you can create your own Simpson version of yourself. http://simpsonizeme.com/

To start you would upload a photo of yourself, now I tried to upload a photo of my second life Bells, but for some reason it kept defaulting to my first photo, which was a RL one. If anyone gets a Second Life photo to turn into a Simpsons character please let me know. I would like to see how it looks. :) While uploading your character, you will answer questions about yourself, Sex, age, color of Simpson, style of clothing and hair type. Next Click the big button that says SIMPSONIZE ME!
Bells as a Simpson

I was rather surprised at how accurate my character came out. I was always curious how I would look if I had been turned into a Simpson character. It even was able to capture my RL hair style, and I actually own an outfit that is quite similar. In fact (lol) I'm wearing that right now as I type this, Scary.

I also went to the M&M site and created a candy coated version of myself. I know, not quite as cool as the Simpsons, but still thought I would share. :) http://www.m-ms.com/
