Today's look is all about fun day in the sun. I’m wearing Entice's dress Fame. What I like about this dress is the color options that are available. I have the mega fatpack which included 50 different patterns. I feel this dress is perfect for summer. I’ve been wearing this outfit for a few days in SL because I like it so much. I know this dress will be a go-to casual wear for summer 2022.

Recently, I've been facing some.....well....the most polite way I can phrase it is challenges. (smirk)

One of the safe topics I can mention is my lawn care fiasco. I got a ticket for my lawn because it was slightly higher than the allowed limit for the city's requirement and I had no wiggle room. I was brought into court and had to pay a fine (under 100 doll hairs.) It's a criminal offense similar to a traffic violation. (I know, weirdness, right? I have a story about getting a ticket in Italy over a bus meter if you ever want to hear about unusual violations I've received. You can't travel without the occasional odd story or two, right?)

Back to my story, I did feel getting this ticket was not warranted but it was beyond my control. So how did I make this feel right for me? Flower seeds, Yes, you read correctly Flower Seeds. After I got over the initial shock of getting the ticket I did something PRODUCTIVE. I bought 3 boxes of flowers to plant in my lawn randomly. I just scattered them into the yard in hopes that they would grow into something beautiful. Flower Bombs I called them.

So what do we do when were faced with such great challenges they become hazardous to our heath and negative beyond what is considered, "normal"? We have to drop LOVE Bombs on people and work against the mob mentality. There is a psychological theory called the Bystander effect. (I'm citing my favorite source, Wikipedia...which is a totally reliable source of information. ;)) 

The bystander effect is something along these lines of, someone in NEED of HELP may not get the aid they need because of the attention the problem receives and it incites apathy. The more we see the problem and have it highlighted without ACTION the worse the situation can be for the victim. More people will be inclined to take the mentality of the larger group and not help. Monkey see Monkey do do.

Sometimes it takes ONE person to make a change and extend the hand to make the situation better. Sometimes it takes a person of influence to stand up and help turn the situation into completely different. It takes courage to stand up and make that change. It takes great character to use your influence for good. Some greatly lack the candor it takes to do this through no fault of their own. It's not an innate behavior but it is one that can become cultivated.

So some things I've been mulling over with my personal challenges. 
Accept help, even if it seems misplaced and becomes overwhelming. What may feel as harassment may just be someone's good intentions gone astray or them not being able to approach the uniqueness of your situation in a way that is appropriate for you to accept as aid.

Give people the benefit of the doubt, even when they don't deserve it. You may be wrong.

Acknowledgment in itself is a WIN, because the more people are involved the harder it will be to cover it up...and acknowledgment of the situation is more than I ever had before.

I wish I could say I'm optimistic about my situation, but I'm not. Opportunity is too great for some and the temptation to elevate themselves beyond the muck is difficult when the monkey see, Monkey doo doo is in full effect.

Thank you for the ones that have tried. I do notice your efforts....and to the other ones. Please take some time to reflect upon yourself.

Tess Falworth of Lovely Sweet has recently released a new set of eyes, appropriately named as Lovelle. They are sparkling and shining like stars that illuminate the night sky. Here’s the information on the eyes. They are created specifically for the Omega eye system, which work perfectly with most mesh heads. Currently my mesh head is from Catwa and I’m using the Omega eye system in combination with Lovely Sweet’s  Lovelle eyes. Lovely Sweet’s Lovelle eyes are 50L on the marketplace which quite a deal considering how beautiful they are. The hud comes complete with 4 color variations. 

Lovely Sweet, is a new store for me and I am quite happy to be working along with this designer as a blogger. So be prepared to see some posts with designs in my blog.

I’ve taken a peek at her online store and there are some cute items listed in her collection. I’m including a landmark for her main store but most of her recent items can be found at the marketplace.  It’s worth visiting if you are in the market for newness in Second Life. Lovely Sweet’s designs encompass the whole wide of fashion spectrum for you ladies. Animations, shapes, Appliers and apparel, OH MY!!!!!

As, Promised, I have yet another post from a goodie I found at the Whore Couture Fair. Kaithleen's has created an ethereal dress named Paula. Paula is striking in its appearance due to its nice girl appeal and reminiscent 1960s style, which I adore. It feels so ultimately feminine to dress up dainty and sparkle in this dress. Why sparkle? Well Lovelies, that is exactly what you are doing when wearing this little gem.

Recently, I've began noticing designs with something a little extra in them..movement or texture with animations. Kaithleen's Paula Dress effortlessly captures this design rarity and incorporates a shine and sparkle that can easily be the highLIGHT of your evening. (pun intended.)

I know my photo is not accurately capturing the amazing movement Kaithleen has created. I tried my hardest and I played with the wind light setting for a long time before settling on what we have above. Trust me, this dress is BEST viewed in person and under darker light. I wish I would have purchased a darker color, but pink is truly my favorite color. I'm happy with my pick and dont have a case of buyers remorse, but for blogging reasons I wish I could have captured it more in depth for you all to see.

Some other visual highlight of Kaithleen's Paula Dress are the shading of the satin finish and intricate detail along the backside of the corset. 18 loops line the back of Paula and are neatly tied into a bow. The corset comes complete with a customizable HUD. Actually, Both the sparkle dress bottom and the corset backing are customizable. There are 18 different color variations to choose from in the HUD.

Harsh criticisms?? Please don't take it as such....
I usually reserve these for my thoughts only but I decided to give a slight cautionary or additional insight for you ladies. My only irk on this design is the nipples. I'm not a fan of mesh that has been rigged to add an enhancement of nipple outline, providing a "perky" look. This dress is so classy and unique that I felt the protrusion for the nipples is just a bit too much for my taste. Ladies as always when it comes to shopping try the demo before buying. Paula is beautifully designed and I didn't let this small detail stop me from wearing, enjoying and blogging the dress, so hopefully it won't be a breaking point for you when deciding on this piece.

I've taken a little blogger hiatus over the last couple of month. Things sometimes become a bit too much for me and I have difficult focusing; however, I'm back at it. Blogging in SL has and will always be something I love and no matter how long I might stay away I always find myself being pulled back into it.

The main reason why I'm getting back into blogging is because of the ROMP winter fair. I've been enjoying exploring the naughty side of SL again and I'm going to be snapping a few photos to showcase the goodies I have picked up from ROMP's fair.

Today I'm highlighting Salt and Pepper's Harness, Grace. Grace is totally sheer, flirty and will get hearts racing. This harness isn't a typical BDSM outfit, but rather is soft, light and demure. Some of the best features of this harness are tied into the HUD design which allows you to have some flexibility in the color dept. Salt and Pepper's Hud has several different options that you can customize: Leather, Lace the Rings and even Chains can all be changed. Grace is available in several different sizes and will fit the Maitreya, slink and hourglass body. As a special promotion Salt and Pepper has reduced the price of Grace to 20% so now is a good time to head over to ROMP and pick up this lingerie set.

I'm also showcasing another lovely item from ROMP, the, "goodnight bed" from Hive has become my new favorite place to lounge in my home. Truth be told I kinda have a princess and the pea syndrome and it does transition into SL as well. I have pretty high standards for my bedding in RL and SL. I absolutely adore the intricate design of the headboard the bed has different options available for singles and couples. Hive has given the Goodnight bed the ability to be customized so it can match almost any decor.

I ran into a long time friend of mine recently, Mira Questi and she had me reminiscing about that time we met in Italy and had lunch and Gelatto. Goodness, how time flown and how so many things have changed since then.

One of the things I miss most about living in Italy is taking moonlight drives through the Cinque Terra which usually lead to stopping into a little bar and having a drink. Limoncino, of course was a drink of choice. I actually adore all thing Lemon flavored something about the citrus that just makes my mouth pucker, but in a good way. I loved the sea and seeing the spider cables across the mountains as each twist and turn on the road unfolded. It made the whole experience so enchanting and added an element of danger which will never be forgotten. 

Today, I'm sporting some delicious lemon treats from Tres Blah. Tres Blah has a series of cute Summer themed shirts out for sale at Collab88. I even pick up this a pair of shorts from Nylon Outfitters to wear to compliment the top. It's a perfect casual summer look for where ever you might find yourself.

Purple Haze

It seems everyone right now has Arcade gacha fever, which means you can totally hit up Uber and pick up some goodies with lag free shopping. I made the trek to Uber yesterday and picked up some cute items to add to my overflowing inventory. Today's look is inspired by Uber's theme this month which is, "Spice"....No, not Spice girls, but think more along the lines of spicy, hot and totally tempting. I decided to play up the purple and gold hues I found in Nylon Outfitters Tunic, Elephant. The main reason I picked this tunic is because of the color, what can I say I'm a sucker for pink/lavender hues. Nylon's Tunic feels soft and flowy. It highlights an asymmetric cut along the bottom of the dress which is perfect in living into the, "Spice" theme. I paired this spicy tunic with a pair of gold gladiator sandals from Pure shoes, a little treasure in my inventory. The Look of Love

 I recently acquired a new mesh body and what can I say....I'm in LOVE! Maitreya's Mesh Body, Lara is simply stunning. I've been having so much fun wearing it. Some of the big advantages I have noticed vs my old mesh body from The Mesh project is the ability to have so many items work seamlessly and easily with this body. Unlike my previous mesh body experience Maitreya's feet work with the SLink feet and my neck lines up perfectly. Perhaps the best part of the mesh body is the ability to use Alpha layers on the mesh body and have it work with clothing I already own. I have yet to find one thing to complain about while wearing this body. I'm so thrilled that I made the switch to Maitreya.
