Tess Falworth of Lovely Sweet has recently released a new set of eyes, appropriately named as Lovelle. They are sparkling and shining like stars that illuminate the night sky. Here’s the information on the eyes. They are created specifically for the Omega eye system, which work perfectly with most mesh heads. Currently my mesh head is from Catwa and I’m using the Omega eye system in combination with Lovely Sweet’s  Lovelle eyes. Lovely Sweet’s Lovelle eyes are 50L on the marketplace which quite a deal considering how beautiful they are. The hud comes complete with 4 color variations. 

Lovely Sweet, is a new store for me and I am quite happy to be working along with this designer as a blogger. So be prepared to see some posts with designs in my blog.

I’ve taken a peek at her online store and there are some cute items listed in her collection. I’m including a landmark for her main store but most of her recent items can be found at the marketplace.  It’s worth visiting if you are in the market for newness in Second Life. Lovely Sweet’s designs encompass the whole wide of fashion spectrum for you ladies. Animations, shapes, Appliers and apparel, OH MY!!!!!

When I'm Blue....

Well It looks like I'm back to blogging for now. I can't stay away from this part of Second Life because I find it's such a creative outlet for me. So let's look at what I'm wearing today, sigh...I know it isn't much,but that's the fun of blogging...showing off my unmentionables.

Today I'm wearing Zaara's Chanchal Lingerie in Mocha. Zaara's lingerie comes complete with appliers which lay directly against the skin. Zaara has been a favorite designer of mine for many years so you can imagine how much I love lounging around in this set. The lingerie set comes complete with stockings, garter belt, panties and lace bra.

Next I want to highlight Erratic's Allure Satin robe in midnight. This robe is totally cute and dar I say sexy. It comes complete with a hud that will allow you to have it open or closed. I prefer the open flasher option as I can give you all glimps of my lingerie.

Earlier this week I received a notice that Valentina E. was going to be releasing a new dress. As soon as I saw the advertisement I knew I had to TP to FaMESHed to pick up this cute little number. Since FaMESHed has only been opened for a few days it's currently packed so don't get discouraged if you can't get into the SIM. (just keep trying, have patience.... or come back later during the week) The Rock the Boat dress is available in several different nautical colors. I hope that you take the TP in and pick up a copy of your very own.

Fancy Hair

If you have been keeping up with any of the blogs on the feeds you then you surely would have noticed a trend emerging. Everyone is talking about Hair, Hair, and Hair. It's this special wonderful time of year where I get all tingly from my head to my toes.... Hair Fair Time. This has to be one of my favorite fairs, following shortly behind is the skin fair and pose fair.

The Hair fair is my favorite because of the charity that is attached, Wigs for Kids. Each SL Wig purchased will donate 15% of the sale to the charity. It's a generous gift from Hair designers of Second Life. The Hair Fair opened it's doors on July 14th and will close on July 29. Wigs for kids is such a wonderful charity, because they help bring hair to children who have lost their hair due to a medical related illness. Last year SL residents helped raise $8,935.96. You can view the official letter here. It's always so touching to see what our community can do when we get together.

There are a few thing I'd like to point out about the Hair Fair and some tips you can do to help ease the lag of the fair.

1) Phantom Buildings- The hair fair has set up with phantom buildings so don't be alarmed if you walk through walls it's ok and made this way to help reduce lag.

2) De-Prim and Wear a Low Lag outfit- DCNY has been generous enough to donate a low lag fashionable out for you to wear during the fair.

3) Photo Spots- Pose ball are setup, courtesy of Adorkable Poses around the sims which are perfect for photos.

4) Can't get in the fair because it's too full?? Use the Hair Fair Demo Group to help you get your shopping in order. You can click the in world kiosk located here, or type this: secondlife:///app/group/2e30d166-f3e5-e2de-ff72-b3da2d06ded2/about directly into the SL chat and click to join the FREE group.

5) Purchased and Item and didn't get it? Don't worry, The Hair fair has provide redelivery kiosks so your hair can be redelivered with ease.

52 Weeks of Color, Week 16- Bright Turquoise

I've had this photo sitting on my desktop for a whole week now, but I just didn't have the time to edit it in photo shop until today. Today's post is on bright turquoise.

It seems the longer these color challenges take place the harder it is for me to complete them. Finding different variations of color within my inventory is a bit hard. I think this is a sign everything must be deleted and to start over again... Mmmm perhaps not.

Some cute new items I've picked up special for this color challenge are my outfit from Sn@TCH and this uber cool Unicorn Carouse horse from Intrigue Company.

I'm currently in love with this Unicorn, I've decided to name him Twinkle...don't judge. Twinkle reminds me of make believe, magic and just makes me happy when I get a chance to ride across Sims. Intrigue Co. helps bring the magic to Second Life. One of the cutest things about this Unicorn Carouse is when you first wear it plays, "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Just melts my heart a bit.

Next Color challenge post is on Shuttle Grey..This one is going to be tough. Time to put the thinking cap on.

Fit to be Tied

Bells Boutique has released a new outfit "Fit to be Tied" which is a Corset/Bodysuit. "Fit to Be Tied" is released in 8 vibrant colors. Each lingerie set is 75L and the Skittles Pack (fat pack) is 450L.  Included is an optional prim skirt and necklace.

Reflecting on Bells Boutique-
A long time ago before I started blogging I used to make clothing in Second Life. It was something that interested me when I was a new resident. I wanted to learn so badly, so I attended classes at NCI. The first class I took taught me how to upload a texture and then edit in SL Appearance to make shirts, skirts, pants. Ect. My first designs were ugly, crude, the word primitive definitely comes to mind when I think about early works.

My little store grew and I learned new techniques and skills. I started with Gimp, then moved on to Photoshop elements until I was gifted Photoshop CS and a whole package of Adobe goodies from a classmate in RL. As RL brought inevitable changes I found I had less time and interest in designing until slowly stopped creating in SL. As my Fourth Rezz day approaches I have started to review my little trip down SL. I've decided that I would like to focus back on what I first loved in SL, Clothing Creation.



My little store has always been sort of a passing hobby and way to learn. I don't think I could ever be someone with great talent in clothing design; but I will continue to create because it's fun, a challenge and gives me a sense of personal satisfaction. My clothing will never be perfect and part of me will always feel as if it's inadequate. I will admit to feeling that small twinge of failure or invisibility that some SL content creators fall into. I made sales yes, but my tiny store was never blogged by anyone other than myself. I never knew about review copies or marketing. My blog wasn't even on the feeds. I have set aside a couple of personal goals for myself for the next six months, hopefully I can achieve these small milestones.

"Fit to Be Tied", is actually one of the first personal challenges I have completed. With this design I have managed to hand draw all elements, I refused to use brushes. I also learned how to make multiple colors of one design. Finally, I created a new template for store signs. Hopefully I can improve upon these techniques and make my next release better. "Summer Skin"

With temperatures rising it seems summer is already starting to leave it's mark upon us. It's time to break out those shorts, halters and sandals and have some fun in the sun! Roslin Petion of 5th and Oxford is answering the call with her latest release. High-wasted shorts, halter tops and high-wasted pencil skirts (not shown), have a retro... not outdated feeling to them. This collection is casual, beautifully crafted and adds a new twist to a summer staple.

 So do you want to know what my favorite part of this outfit? It's the buttons on the shorts. I love where they are positioned along the front of the Seaside Sweetie Shorts. The shading and seams also make for a really great look adding depth and a sense of realism to this design. I'm also fan of the halter top back. Personally I think a woman's back is a very sexy part of her body, much more than other areas. The right top can really embellish this area while leaving something to the imagination. Finding the right skin is also essential, which is why I choose to wear Exodi for this look.

"La La Love" with Ooh La La

The other night I was walking along Tableau and found a store that totally caught my eye. It's called Ooh La La, which became the answer for the new lingerie hunt I was on. I immediately went into this cute lingerie boutique and purchased a couple of sets. Ooh La La is created by Nylon Pinkney, a total Fashion Guru.  I really hope Nylon continues creating more lingerie, perhaps costumes?....I can dream right?

Currently there is a total of 4 different Lingerie sets. The Betty Body Suit, Candy Body Suit (Shown above), Veronica Bows Set, and Lacy Slip (Shown below). All are moderately priced and do not exceed $150L, the quality surpasses the price. In addition, there are 11 stockings and 3 garter clips in the collection.
