I didn't grow up speaking Spanish in my home. We were English only so I learned Spanish from overhearing family member and then in high school I took it in class. I'm one of the hispanics that well. isn't comfortable speaking in Spanish. I understand it way better than I speak it. It's often been the source of ridicule among others. Like Rudolph I know what its like not to be able to participate in Reindeer games.

Today's horny antler look is inspired by Rudolph, I choose a color pallet that was soft and neutral similar to a fawn and I even found a little deer to match. I'm wearing a uber cute short set from 1 Hundred, the LoveShack in Nude. Now, this is the first time I have blogged 1 hundred in my blog so let me tell you what I have noticed about these designs over the last few months. One Hundred is well made, fun and has several colors options. Every design that Sira I have run across from Sira is unique. They are bordering on a little Kawaii with a cross between sexy and cute, but not overdoing it.

I suggest you head on over to Second Chance event and pick up a goodie or two. This outfit is totally winter and not Christmassy, but with Christmas only 2 days away haven't we had a bit too much :)

As, Promised, I have yet another post from a goodie I found at the Whore Couture Fair. Kaithleen's has created an ethereal dress named Paula. Paula is striking in its appearance due to its nice girl appeal and reminiscent 1960s style, which I adore. It feels so ultimately feminine to dress up dainty and sparkle in this dress. Why sparkle? Well Lovelies, that is exactly what you are doing when wearing this little gem.

Recently, I've began noticing designs with something a little extra in them..movement or texture with animations. Kaithleen's Paula Dress effortlessly captures this design rarity and incorporates a shine and sparkle that can easily be the highLIGHT of your evening. (pun intended.)

I know my photo is not accurately capturing the amazing movement Kaithleen has created. I tried my hardest and I played with the wind light setting for a long time before settling on what we have above. Trust me, this dress is BEST viewed in person and under darker light. I wish I would have purchased a darker color, but pink is truly my favorite color. I'm happy with my pick and dont have a case of buyers remorse, but for blogging reasons I wish I could have captured it more in depth for you all to see.

Some other visual highlight of Kaithleen's Paula Dress are the shading of the satin finish and intricate detail along the backside of the corset. 18 loops line the back of Paula and are neatly tied into a bow. The corset comes complete with a customizable HUD. Actually, Both the sparkle dress bottom and the corset backing are customizable. There are 18 different color variations to choose from in the HUD.

Harsh criticisms?? Please don't take it as such....
I usually reserve these for my thoughts only but I decided to give a slight cautionary or additional insight for you ladies. My only irk on this design is the nipples. I'm not a fan of mesh that has been rigged to add an enhancement of nipple outline, providing a "perky" look. This dress is so classy and unique that I felt the protrusion for the nipples is just a bit too much for my taste. Ladies as always when it comes to shopping try the demo before buying. Paula is beautifully designed and I didn't let this small detail stop me from wearing, enjoying and blogging the dress, so hopefully it won't be a breaking point for you when deciding on this piece.

I know.... a bad knock knock joke, but I can't help it. I totally found The Secret Store's Midkini too cute not to feature in today's post and wouldn't you know it has bananas all over it, so I hope you can pardon the silly post title.  

The main reason why I am posting today is because I was contacted by Jessica Marville of Razmataz Art, poses and Animations about an upcoming photo contest; and let me tell you it's kinda cool. Razmataz, is a pose store that has cute poses and animations. I took some time yesterday to explore the store and what I found was great poses and animations for couples, singles and even silly animations like guitar smashing, putting on lipstick and even talking on a cell phone. It seems that whatever situation you might find yourself wanting to express in SL, Razmataz has you covered. It's worth a TP just to visit and look around. Now let's talk about the photo contest.

Whether you are a novice photographer or an experienced one you will want to try your hand at Razmataz's photo contest. In order to enter you would need to take the TP and visit Razmataz to pick up July's photo contest poses. These poses are pretty inexpensive. (I think I paid 15L per pose) The prize for the July Photo contest is the following: A pose package, custom made pose and a free portrait by Natzuka Miliandrovic. Now I took the liberty of checking out Natzuka's photo stream and it's really nice. I enjoyed looking over her photos. If you would like to look go ahead and take a peak here. The winning photo will be placed in the store and on the marketplace. so this is a great opportunity to showcase your photo skills, learn some new one and just have fun.

Scenic Summer

With my summer vacation drawing to a close I think it's time to get back into the swing of blogging. I hate when I let things fall to the side. Today's post is about the color Astronaut Blue, It's week number 28 of Luna's 52 weeks of color challenge. Next color challenge will be Persian Rose.

Originally I wanted to pull together a look that was sort of a Barberella type, (you know Sexy Space Vixen look) but when I found out about the new release from Boom I just had to showcase their new Miami Linens because they are utterly fabulous. My 300th Post!

Today I'm celebrating my 300th blog post! I can't believe I've been blogging for over five years now. I started my blog on March 21, 2007. In the beginning my blog was more of a journal as a way to document my experiences within Second Life, slowly over time it became a fashion focused blog.

My first posts were very novice and crude, but they were personal and now they serve as a memory book which I can always look back on. I'd like to think my style of blogging has improved over time and will continue to improve as time progresses. Of course I had help: meeting other bloggers, reading tutorials and practice practice practice. I'll never consider myself an expert in both Second Life and Blogging, I think there is always something new to learn and ways to improve upon yourself.

I know some might be thinking five years and only 300 posts, but I did some calculations (I know, I'm a nerd): 61 months and 300 posts roughly estimates to 5 posts per month. Which to me is a big deal. I've taken several months off of Second Life in the past, had blogging holds because of Real Life situations. However the one thing that remains is my love for Second Life and Blogging.

In an effort to mark my 300th post I did a bit of cosmetic work on my blog and created a new template design using Photo Shop and the tools within blogger.  I feel a bit more "official" and unique with the new look. It was only with the new update to blogger that happened recently that I noticed I was able to make these changes. Took me long enough, huh?

I'm not sure what the future will hold if I will be able to continue on to another year, perhaps I will be lucky and be able to continue on for another five years. (Wishful thinking)  I do have some ambitions for my blog: I hope to improve upon my photography skills and perhaps return to exploring the gird.

Thank you for supporting me over the last 300 posts and five years. It's been a fun journey.
