Summer Love

Summer time always seems like the perfect time of year to throw caution to the wind and have an adventure. The days are longer nights seem filled with activities and it's that time of year when people find that oh so popular Summer Love. For me, summer love hit me like a ton of brick and it's all because of Foxes and Teefy.

For today's look I took a little trip back to Collab88 for some summer treats. Everything I'm wearing in today's post is from this month's Collab88. I had been looking for a mesh bikini that works with the Mariteya mesh body and Foxes, Summer Love bikini top and jacket fit the bill perfectly. Teefy, another favorite store of mine has a pair of shorts in this month's Colab88 which also matches the Mariteya body well. I couldn't be more pleased with how this whole look came together.  I hope you take some time to head over to Collab88 and take a peek at all the goodies available. This month's theme is filled with vibrant, fun hues which are perfect for capturing the feel of Summer. Truth be told the color scheme it reminds me of Ottor Pops, (they are Popsicle for those who don't know) which are perfect for hot nights that you find nestled within summer.

Don't forget to pack up and head to the beach so you can work on your tan, crank up the tunes on your stereo and relax. Perhaps even find a little summer love of your own.

Four Leaf Clover

See, I've been thinking it over........It's all just a little too much.......You see I've got this four leaf clover.......It's gotta bring a little luck - Abra Moore- Four Leaf Clover

First off, my apologies for not having an abundance of 4 leaf clovers in this post. I didn't want to overwhelm with St. Paddy's day gear.

I'm not normally a girl with red hair but since it's St. Paddy's day, Why not? Today I'm pulling a little luck from a four leaf clover to mix and match items from my wardrobe.so let's talk a little bit about this look. I sill have a big love for Tee*fy's Kira Off-Shoulder Dress, which I picked up at Collab88. I've managed to pick up several different colors in this dress which means I totally adore it. At only 88L a pop it's been impossible not to pick up one for every mood that strikes. I'm also sporting one of my favorite wigs from Magika, Gone. I suppose I enjoy this style because it reminds me of my RL hair. (the color not so much) Finally, the headpiece I'm wearing is one I pulled from my inventory. It's an oldie but a goodie, it's from Piddle, and it's called Southern Comfort Headpiece. So here is my look for the day.

Secrets......Laura had secrets

So Collab 88 has a fun theme this month, Moonless nights,  and it's a tribute to Twin Peaks. No no not that restaurant that hires buxom ladies, but the TV show from the early 1990s. If you haven't seen Twin Peaks the TV show yet, Don't worry Netflix has you covered. It's a cult class one can't miss. Today I am listening to Taylor Swift's album 1989, which prompted today's look, Style. I took cues from the music video to complete the look. Btw, if you haven't seen the music video I suggest you take a look. It's a girl's fantasy: romantic, dark and somewhat forbidden.

Let down

 Ever have one of those days or periods in your life where everything seems like a let down? You get passed up for the promotion; the cute guy you like is not interested; someone made a promise then broke it; miss that limited time sale at your favorite shop. (ok perhaps this last one isn't a big let down) This pretty much captures my life and mood at the moment. I'm sure I just need a few days to get over the sadness that develops when you are: let down, disappointed and crushed. As for today, I'm going to have Radiohead's, "Let down" on repeat until I find something else to lift my spirits.

First Date

Our first real date wasn't as picturesque as this photo, but it did involve the rain and the city.

Frankie and I got caught in a thunderstorm without an umbrella and became completely soaked from head to toe. In order to escape from the rain we rushed into the nearest restaurant. We sat and talked shared a coke and really connected.  Ever since that moment the rain has become a special symbol to us because it reminds us of the first moment we shared together and when we first started out as a couple in Real Life.

When I saw Exposeur, released a set of rain themed poses for The Pose Fair 2013, I quickly picked up this pose titled, "Here comes the Rain Again". HANDvrk teamed up with Exposeur, to create beautiful spring colored umbrellas that compliment any rain poses.

Gangnam Style

This week I was introduced to PSY and his song "Gangnam Style".  I have no clue what is being sang in the song (because I don't understand Korean) yet I am finding myself unable to stop playing this song over and over again. Seriously, I have a "Gangnam Style" problem and might need an intervention soon. The main reason I love this song so much is because it's hypnotic beat and extremely catchy chorus. In order to attempt to purge the song from my OCD loop I am stuck in I've decided to make, "Gangnam Style" today's theme. I'm also tying in Week # 29 of Luna's 52 Week of Color challenge, Persian Rose. Next Color Challenge post will be on Aqua Island.

I Gatcha!

I've been having a lot of fun playing the Gatcha machines at the ALBERO Summer Gatcha Festival and let me tell you I'm LOVING IT!! Yesterday I had the chance to pick up these lovely goodies. Everything I am wearing is from the festival, with the exception of the body suit which I purchased during the 50L Fridays.

The house behind me is one that I have yet to do a proper review on due to my busy RL schedule. It's Niko from Abode and is designed quite wonderfully. It's going to be my next home so I will definitely be devoting an entire post to this beautiful structure.
