Orange you Happy for Spring?

We had one of our first spring days of the year in Italy. To celebrate I decided to dress up in Orange from head to toe. Sadly, dipping into my inventory meant some of the items I am wearing are no longer available. Either because they are older discontinued items, or the shop is no longer available in world. Nevertheless, I am still a fan of these designers and feel that their creations needed a day in the sun.

52 weeks of Color- Week 23- Pistachio

My summer vacation has started early and I can't think of a better way to spend the extra free time on my hands than by finally playing catch up on Luna's 52 Week of color challenge. Currently Luna's challenge is on week 29/30 which leaves me roughly 6 posts behind the group. I already have outfits for the upcoming colors and my recent hair fair purchases will make a great addition.

Today's look is all about paying tribute to the color Pistachio. I had almost forgotten about this cute retro dress from Ivalde I had hidden in my inventory. Ivalde no longer is available in world as Neferia Abel is currently taking a break from SL, but purchases can be made on the SL Marketplace. The Maisie dress was available for a limited time as a special item during the Witch Hunt of 2011, so my apologies for showcasing an item that is no longer available for purchase.

One item that is available for purchase is the gorgeous up-do from Miamai. Lika, is a braided classic bun that utilizes a hair base to achieve it's sleek elegant, and stylish look. Miamai has several classy up-dos available at the hair fair. Remember every purchase you make at the hair fair will donate 15% to Wigs for Kids. The Hair fair will be open until July 29th. Still plenty of time to make it and pick up a new wig or two.

The Next color challenge post is Raspberry Glace, I'm sensing a food theme with these colors, mmmm delicious.

Winter Charm

 

Winter has finally made it's way to the Semyorka/Palliard home, which is great because the Christmas season is just around the corner and I'm in the holiday spirit this year. My little parcel has been transformed into a Winter Paradise complete with a cabin, snowbanks that run along each side and even a few animal friends. It's the perfect little cozy spot to curl up and settle in for the chilly nights.

Another great way to combat the cold is to bundle up, and it seems that I've recently found some goodies which make this task easier and help create some Winter Charm. A cute warm knit sweater from WoE and Thick woven scarf from Exodi are the perfect combination; when wearing you'll forget all about the chill and enjoy playing in the snow perhaps even venture into a little reindeer games.

Exodi has released some new eyes. Two gorgeous sets are available, "Clear Eye Series" and "Soulful Eyes Series". I found these to be my new favorite eyes because they give a luscious shine that will entrance and captivate from far away. 75L per color 300L for packs of 5

Exodi also has some new winter themed Gotcha items, 21 Beautiful scarves and 5 rare colors . At only 25L per try playing the Gotcha machine means you're always a winner.


WoE
Has two cozy knot sweaters available the Ginger Sweater and The Graham Sweater. Each sweater is knitted and has a sculpted collar and sleeves. The ginger sweater has a defined bell shape collar while the Graham collar is more of a turtle neck hybrid. Both can be worn without the collar and paired with a scarf of your choice. Each sweater is 200L while fatpacks are 1200

I Gatcha!

I've been having a lot of fun playing the Gatcha machines at the ALBERO Summer Gatcha Festival and let me tell you I'm LOVING IT!! Yesterday I had the chance to pick up these lovely goodies. Everything I am wearing is from the festival, with the exception of the body suit which I purchased during the 50L Fridays.

The house behind me is one that I have yet to do a proper review on due to my busy RL schedule. It's Niko from Abode and is designed quite wonderfully. It's going to be my next home so I will definitely be devoting an entire post to this beautiful structure.

"Summer Skin"

With temperatures rising it seems summer is already starting to leave it's mark upon us. It's time to break out those shorts, halters and sandals and have some fun in the sun! Roslin Petion of 5th and Oxford is answering the call with her latest release. High-wasted shorts, halter tops and high-wasted pencil skirts (not shown), have a retro... not outdated feeling to them. This collection is casual, beautifully crafted and adds a new twist to a summer staple.

 So do you want to know what my favorite part of this outfit? It's the buttons on the shorts. I love where they are positioned along the front of the Seaside Sweetie Shorts. The shading and seams also make for a really great look adding depth and a sense of realism to this design. I'm also fan of the halter top back. Personally I think a woman's back is a very sexy part of her body, much more than other areas. The right top can really embellish this area while leaving something to the imagination. Finding the right skin is also essential, which is why I choose to wear Exodi for this look.

"La La Love" with Ooh La La

The other night I was walking along Tableau and found a store that totally caught my eye. It's called Ooh La La, which became the answer for the new lingerie hunt I was on. I immediately went into this cute lingerie boutique and purchased a couple of sets. Ooh La La is created by Nylon Pinkney, a total Fashion Guru.  I really hope Nylon continues creating more lingerie, perhaps costumes?....I can dream right?

Currently there is a total of 4 different Lingerie sets. The Betty Body Suit, Candy Body Suit (Shown above), Veronica Bows Set, and Lacy Slip (Shown below). All are moderately priced and do not exceed $150L, the quality surpasses the price. In addition, there are 11 stockings and 3 garter clips in the collection.
