MaRam Aries

I'm having a bit of fun with today's look MaRam Aries. I visited the Zodiac Event and picked up some really cute items for today's post.

First off, The cute Sheepies from Adore and Abhor are my absolute favorite out of the collection. The Sheepies are available as a Gacha, each play will cost 50L but they are totally worth it.

Next, I stalked over to Boom's area and picked up a set of "I am Aries" ram horns. I decided upon Gold, however, there are many several color options for you to choose from. The, "I am Aries" set a unisex design and is available with three options, 1) horns alone 2) mask 3) horns and mask.

Sitting pretty right next to Boom's sale kiosk is !Bang poses. I picked up the overcome pose series for today's post. There are two pose sets available optimistic and overcome for your buying pleasure.

I'm definitely not  finished with my Zodiac shopping, but I had to put together this look and showcase these cute items first.

Not to make fun of myself or anything, but while working on this blog post I had a bit of a flash back to the Power Rangers. I think my look resembles the Villain, Rita. ha ha ha ha

Bird Song

The Skin Fair and The Boutique hit my pocket book at once yesterday making it almost impossible to determine my first must have purchases from these events. Finally, after teleporting from sim to sim and trying on demo after demo I chose today's look "Bird Song".

Casa Del Shai has been a label that I have worn since I first rezzed into SL. I loved the style, colors and that all items were hand painted. Casa Del Shai was not only a favorite of mine, but my better half, Frankie Palliard also loved this label. We used to spend hours shopping together trying to coordinate our outfit and Casa Dl Shai was one of the first stores that allowed us to do this effortlessly because the quality was beautiful for not only women, but men too. Often Casa de Shai made male and female outfits which complimented one another. I really can't begin to tell you how excited I became when I saw Shai's announcement on plurk that she was releasing a new skin for The Skin Fair. I knew this would be a skin that I would have to try out.

Song is one of Shai's new skins and is available at The Skin Fair. You can find Shai Skins on sim 1 at The Skin Fair. Song has ten different makeup options. Each skin contains four brow options, sculpted lashes (not worn in the photo) a bare skin and a makeup version with two cleavage options. I personally think Shai has done a great job on this skin line. Song brings together fantasy, fashion and flair into one skin.

To be fair, I am going to mention that I have altered the original skin by adding a lipstick stick tattoo, mole tattoo and mesh teeth to moderately enhance and achieve a unique personal style. I hope these small changes do not deter you from trying a demo of Song.

Candied Pop Star

 

She sings so sweetly, her voice is like candy. She's the candied Pop Star. 

Today is the last day for the Pop star event at my attic located on The Deck sim. All items at this event are in the theme of Pop Stars. Items are priced very economically for those that are looking to stretch their lindens. I picked up a couple of dresses from the Pop Princess dress line created by Anessa Stien of DCNY. Each Pop Princess dress is mesh and has several sizing options available both for the top and bottom portions. What I enjoy most about this dress is the mix and match ability. Each dress can be worn as a separate shirt or skirt in combination with other designs.

Scenic Summer

With my summer vacation drawing to a close I think it's time to get back into the swing of blogging. I hate when I let things fall to the side. Today's post is about the color Astronaut Blue, It's week number 28 of Luna's 52 weeks of color challenge. Next color challenge will be Persian Rose.

Originally I wanted to pull together a look that was sort of a Barberella type, (you know Sexy Space Vixen look) but when I found out about the new release from Boom I just had to showcase their new Miami Linens because they are utterly fabulous. Available in over 35 color options, Boom has what seems like the entire color spectrum covered. The Miami Linens are 100% mesh and utilize the standard sizing method which means even some Gents might find these trousers to be a perfect fit. As always when selecting a new set of clothes you will want to pick up a demo and stop by your virtual dressing room to make sure you get a good fit. Remember you can always stop by Boom on the SLMarketplace. I think the Miami Linen Trousers from Boom are a perfect transition piece for Summer/Fall.

Pr!tty Raspberry

Raspberry Glace reminds me of a decadent dessert, something rich with chocolate covered in a dark raspberry sauce. It's a color that is simply beautiful and one I am happy to see in Luna's color challenge.

Today I'm showing hair from Pr!tty, Live Free is a sexy tousled bedroom hair style. These beautiful wavy tresses are available in several colors, I picked up the browns pack and found colors ranging from darker brown, lighter brown and a reddish brown. Pr!tty has this hair available at the Hair Fair which is open until the 29th of July. Still plenty of time to get over and pick up a new sexy wig.

I'm also wearing a very sensual baby doll lingerie set from One Bad Pixel. One Bad Pixel is a relativity new clothing store that showcases mesh designs. Each design at One Bad Pixel is beautifully crafted and is available in several various sizes to match your avatar's unique shape. One Bad Pixel is growing in size so be on the look out for new designs that will emerge.

52 weeks of Color- Week 23- Pistachio

My summer vacation has started early and I can't think of a better way to spend the extra free time on my hands than by finally playing catch up on Luna's 52 Week of color challenge. Currently Luna's challenge is on week 29/30 which leaves me roughly 6 posts behind the group. I already have outfits for the upcoming colors and my recent hair fair purchases will make a great addition.

Today's look is all about paying tribute to the color Pistachio. I had almost forgotten about this cute retro dress from Ivalde I had hidden in my inventory. Ivalde no longer is available in world as Neferia Abel is currently taking a break from SL, but purchases can be made on the SL Marketplace. The Maisie dress was available for a limited time as a special item during the Witch Hunt of 2011, so my apologies for showcasing an item that is no longer available for purchase.

One item that is available for purchase is the gorgeous up-do from Miamai. Lika, is a braided classic bun that utilizes a hair base to achieve it's sleek elegant, and stylish look. Miamai has several classy up-dos available at the hair fair. Remember every purchase you make at the hair fair will donate 15% to Wigs for Kids. The Hair fair will be open until July 29th. Still plenty of time to make it and pick up a new wig or two.

The Next color challenge post is Raspberry Glace, I'm sensing a food theme with these colors, mmmm delicious.

Mad Pink- 52 Weeks of Color-Week 20- Deep Pink

Every week I wait patiently for Mad Men to show. It's been a show I watch regularly since it first aired. I first became attracted to the show because it was in my favorite time period,  The 1960's. My love of retro fashion initially got me hooked, but now it's the characters and story lines that have continued to pull me in. A current favorite location featured on Mad Men is the Draper home. Ever since Megan sang the, "Zou Bisou Bisou" song I have wanted to step into that same scene. 

Fortunately, Trompe Loeil has made my Mad Men dreams come true with the NYC66 Skybox. The NYC66 is a replica of the Draper penthouse apartment. It's mesh and comes furnished with chairs, bar stools, dining room table, kitchen, couch and lights. The floor plan is exact to the Draper home and includes: An Entry Way, Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Terrace, Master Bedroom and Hallway. For extra personalization to give the NYC66 your special touch nine photo frames are scripted to allow your own photos. All furniture within the home are also scripted to allow you sit just by just clicking on each piece of furniture. The NYC66 is available at this month's Collabor88.

I also picked up a cute dress from Nylon Outfitters, Swinging Fringe Dress from Collabor88. This dress is fun to wear because it gives you beautiful movement as you shimmy and shake. I've been having a hard time changing my outfit since I tried on this dress. Which is quite unusual for me, because I usually change my outfit several times a week. It was also the perfect color to wear for Luna's 52 week of color challenge- Deep Pink. Next Color Challenge post is Lemon Chiffon.

Alley Cat is the Cat's Meow

Today's look is all about releasing your inner kitty. Intrigue Co. released their first Mesh Dress, Cat's Meow. The Cat's Meow is available in Five colors, Mint (shown above), Berry, Cherry, Lemon and Melon. It's available as part of Collabor88, June Event and will be available until July 7th. It's sizing is using the Standard Sizing model of SL, so it's available in sizes XS-L.

I have to admit this is the first Mesh clothing I have tried. I know I'm a bit late to the Mesh party. I was reluctant to try mesh because I knew some small editing would take place to my shape; however, with the Cat's Meow dress there was no editing required. Intrigue Co. included an alpha layer that covered the entire mesh which made finding the right size was almost effortless. I'm really looking forward to see what other mesh goodies Intrigue Co. has in store for us. The creativity and cuteness never ceases to amaze me.

Pumpkins and Fall

I can officially say that Fall has managed to make it's way to our little part of the world bringing with it colder temperatures and a hunger for snuggles and pumpkins. Yes, Pumpkins. Frankie and I have set up a pumpkin patch on our land in CDS and have been enjoying living in the area for the last month. We almost have our home finished and can't wait for some of our friends to stop by for an official visit. CDS is holding elections in the next couple of weeks, the last day to become a Citizen and join in the Democratic process of voting is November 3. Just Because...

A couple of days ago Hart Larsson of PXL Creations dropped off his newest skin, Dafne on me and well I simply can't get enough of these beauties. I have been playing around with different looks and skin tones trying to create a look that will highlight Dafne in a manner that shows just how much detail PXL creations gives each skin. What I've discovered through this process is Dafne is perfect for dressing up into something Glam or when trying to give yourself that girl next door look. It's even great when slipping into something smexy. Totally versatile PXL skins are special, beautiful and packed with options!
