El Toro! Ole!

Yesterday I finally managed to make a trip to collab88 to see this month's goodies. I instantly fell for R2 Fashion's release, Metallic Dress and Knee High Boots.

This outfit reminded me of a militant style ready to command. The buttons down the front all lined up in a row, the sweeping of the skirt and of course, one cannot forget the high white collar. The back of this dress is a beautiful open back embellished with straps which provides a risque combination of skin. The knee high boots reach all the way to your upper thigh which will make for some really fun and interesting pairing with other outfits. Both of R2 Fashion's releases are 100% mesh allowing you to move fluidly in any pose.

I chose to pair this outfit with Pididdle's flower to give the entire look a softer more feminine touch.  This entire look makes me feel confident. Almost as if I could stop a bull in it's tracks.

Lolas Love

I have to admit the only reason why I have been signing on Second Life recently have been mesh boobies, more specifically Lolas, Tango Mesh Breasts. My new SL quest is to find clothing which is Lolas friendly.

Today I'm wearing lingerie from Ooh lala. This entire store is Lolas enabled meaning every lingerie purchase includes the Lola top applier. You still need to purchase, own and wear your Lolas before enabling your applier.

Now I have to say at first I was very reluctant to purchase the Lolas because of two main reasons.
1) The price is a bit hefty for my usual purchases. (I'm a thrifty shopper)
2) There is no demo for the Lolas.

So what exactly made me take a dip in water for the Lolas? Well, it was seeing an influx of posts involving mesh breasts recently. So many of my fellow bloggers and several creators on plurk are utlizing Lolas very well. With so much creator community support I felt confident that I would have more use from the Lolas beside the traditional topless photo or two.

Hot cinnamon with a dash of pumpkin. mmmm sounds like a delicious recipe combination, but this is a recipe of fashion for Luna's 52 weeks of color challenge. I'm still very far behind but I'm not letting it get me down one bit because I know eventually I will catch up or at the very least finish this challenge even if I am behind a bit.

So what's today's fashion recipe?  It's a combination of Tres Blah, Piddle, Magika and PXL Creation. Just the perfect blend of yummy goodness for fall.

Next color challenge post is on Royal Blue, I hope I can find a regal look to match this color.

Feldgrau Wilderness

Before completing Luna's Color challenge post I thought of Feldgrau as an ugly color. A color which was reserved for the masculine because it hides between a brown and green. However, I have learned through this challenge that Feldgrau is actually a beautiful rich color which deeply ties in with nature.

I found my outfit deep in my inventory and sadly it's no longer available for purchase because the L'Abel brand is no longer sold in world; however the outfit's creator Neferia Abel has a large assortment of items available online at the marketplace. These designs are under her main store of Ivalde.

Next color challenge post will be on Hot Cinnamon which compliments Feldgrau as perfect fall hues.

Russett into Fall

After several weeks of teasing Fall has finally made it's way to my part of the world. When Fall hits there is nothing I enjoy more than heading into my kitchen and cooking delicious treats. This weekend I'm entering full baker's mode and whipping up a batch of cookies for my husband's colleagues. Chocolate chip, Oatmeal and Peanut Butter are all on the list; so is carving a pumpkin to celebrate Halloween. Let's just say my kitchen is going to get a lot of use in the next couple of days.

The wonderful thing about SL is that I can find and create the kitchen of my dreams. In RL, my kitchen is not as elegant as my SL kitchen, I have to share the space with others and often there is no space to cook. Trompe Loeil has designed what I consider to be the perfect kitchen because it has the best balance of functional space and aesthetic beauty. I picked up this kitchen a while back during Collab 88 previous month's event, but even though it's no longer available at Collab88 you can still find and purchase the Timeless Kitchen at Tompe Loeil's main store.

This post is Week Thirty-Four's color on Luna's 52 week of color challenge, Russett. I'm cheating slightly as I am blending browns to make the Russett hue. The only true russett color is the scarf around my neck. Next color challenge post will be on Feldgrau, which might be a tricky color for me to find.

The Candy Man Can....

There's something about the Halloween season which makes, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" a must see movie. I think it might be related to all the candy and the fact that several elementary teachers would allow us to watch it on Halloween as a free activity, never the less, it's still a movie I enjoy during this time of year.

I'm also waaaaay far behind on Luna's 52 week of color challenge so I am skipping week 31 and 32 and moving right along to week 33, Tyrian Purple. The next color challenge is week 34, Russett. This makes me oooh about 10 behind everyone else. Hoping I can catch up soon.

Ghostly Tale

Real Life has been chaotic recently which meant blogging roared to a screeching halt. I couldn't let the Halloween season pass by without showcasing a Ghostly look. I've been wearing this outfit for a couple of weeks, and have become quite smitten with the goodies used to create this look.

Now, I know I'm late on the Arcade Gacha party wagon. (a whole month late) But I'm wearing two goodies from the event. First is Glam Affair's Gacha Skin 09 and My personal favorite item out of the entire Arcade Gacha event, "Bad Apple Necklace" by Haut.Monde. The Arcade will be closing it's doors on October 15, 2012 so if you hurry you can still teleport in and pick up a quick goodie or two. If by some chance you don't have the opportunity to visit the Arcade this round. Don't worry, December is just round the corner and a whole slew of new goodies will be available to purchase, trade and even give to friends as holiday gifts.
