Tell you Something

Tell you Something

I wanna tell you something, give you something
Show you in so many ways
'cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away
Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour let alone another day
I'm gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait till it's too late

-Tell You Something, Alicia Keys

We're heading into October in a few days which means it's that time of year for us to talk about one of the most important events that Second Life collaborates together for, helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

This year I'm proud to show my support by continuing to blog, Out Shop Cancer in Second Life. I do this because of a couple of reasons my own health issues and in remembrance of my grandmother, Bea. I've spoken in the past about how special my grandmother was to me. She taught me so much growing up and her stories still live with me. They are treasured memories that I hold dear. Even though; it's been roughly 13 years since her passing away from her fight with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, I still feel a sense of loss when something impactful is happening to me. I miss her voice and way of comforting me to let me know things would be alright. I feel like I've lost part of my heritage and I wish that I could have time to go back and learn more from her.

This is my driving force in supporting the American Cancer Society and Second Life Collaborations. Making Strides, Out Shop Cancer is an event marked to help support Breast Cancer Awareness. The intention of the event is to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer, promote early detection and raise lindens or monetary cash for a worthy cause.

During the month of October from October 1-31st, Making Strides,Out shop Cancer will showcase grid wide shopping event! Rather than visiting one dedicated Sim there will be multiple stores who have dedicated a portion of their store solely for the American Cancer Society. All proceeds from this event will go directly to Making Strides & the American Cancer Society. For more information visit Out Shop Cancer and Making Strides.

Thank you to the designers who are participating in this event.
