Iron Maiden

I've been watching a lot of Merlin recently, so I'm going to blame that for today's look although I think I'm kind of puling off more of a Zena warrior princess look. The Color Challenge hue that Luna picked for this week is Iron. I searched high an low within my inventory and wasn't able to pull out a look I was 100 percent happy with until I decided to go for this Iron Maiden look.

The lingerie is something I've had in my inventory for a while so I apologize if they are no longer for sale. I tried my best to locate the LM and store location, but I was unsuccessful.

The next color that Luna has picked out is called Patina, and to be honest I have no clue what in the heck that color actually is and how to find it within my inventory. Looks like some shopping must be done. Luna is definitely not making this second round of challenges easy, but I guess that what makes them even more fun. Searching, finding and finally dressing up the perfect color.

Mystique of Electric Indigo

Week Three of Luna's 52 weeks of Color challenge is Electric Indigo. For this color I'm sporting my best X-Men look, the seductive villainess Mystique. Mystique is one of my favorite X-men characters because she has the ability to change her look to whatever she desires. Mystique is also a great fighter and she looks pretty kick ass too.

Next week's color is Iron. I always get a bit stuck on the gray scale colors. Cross your fingers and kiss your elbow that I can pull off a cute look.

Plum Pretty

I've been trying really hard the past couple of days to find the perfect look to show you the new Adam and Eve Skin, "Natalie" because she's just so pretty. Natalie has vibrant makeup colors, Deep dark rich smoky eyes and kissable lips to compliment each eyeshadow.

At first I was worried Natalie wouldn't be a good fit with my avie, but it only took some minor changes to my shape to bring Natalie into full bloom. My favorite parts of Natalie are the eyebrows and the options, more specifically the cleavage enhancement and the freckles. Natalie is available in twelve different makeup options and in four skin color ranges.

Natalie is a beautiful skin and I'm going to enjoy wearing it because it makes me feel very pretty. Natalie is worth stopping by and testing out a demo. I hope it's a wonderful fit for you and you enjoy it as much as I do.

Colorful Coral

Moving on to Luna's 52 Week of Color Challenge were stumbling on to Week 2, Coral. When I first saw Coral as the color I became all excited, because to me Coral is a pinkish hue; however upon reading Luna's Blog she had a more orange color that what I had lined up, so please excuse me if my color hues are slightly off. I suppose that's part of the fun that Luna creates in these challenges; she allows us to make variations and provide our own interpretations of the color.

For Today's post I am mostly wearing one of my favorite designers of all time Nylon Pinkney of Nylon Outfitters. For the most recent Collab88 Nylon has released a uber cute Kimono Dress. This dress is available in three colors: Red, Blue and Yellow. ( I purchased two) I'm entranced by the hand drawn patterns incorporated into the dress as well as the vibrant bright colors that were chosen. To me this dress was the perfect coral color.

A Change in Direction

Every now and then we find ourselves needing a little break from the hustle we create for ourselves. We want something different something a bit out of our ordinary every day pattern. Sometimes we can fill this void by visiting a new location, making new friends, re-connecting with old ones or perhaps falling back on something we once loved and enjoyed.

It's this self therapy that I find most soothing and necessary when life gets crazy and overwhelming. For me I fall back on older habits to recharge my batteries: blogging and creating. I leave behind social pressures and retreat back into my hermit like status. The solitude is not something I feel is a sentence; but rather is something I find comforting peaceful and relaxing.

It's not often that I take the time to write about Men's clothing,but when Phinneas Vella, owner of PEER; dropped off a blogger package to me I was intrigued and had to give a peek at what was inside. What I found was quite surprising created and designed for men, but working quite well with only minor changes for women PEER clothing is suburb and fashion ready.

I know how hard it is to find quality men's clothing in SL, it's a challenge to say the least. In the past some of my male friends have asked where to pick up clothing for men. They want something casual, masculine and true to their style in RL. I am happy to say that now I can suggest PEER to them. I think these styles would look fantastic on men who are looking for a way to compliment their female style partners. In fact I'm actually going to send Frankie to pick up a few tees from PEER. (Frankie has a casual style and is prone to wearing only tees and jeans for his everyday style.) PEER has a large collection of fashion tees which I hope will make a wonderful addition to his inventory.

Today I am waring the button up koi shirt in white and the my turn cogs leather pants in black. The shirt has buttons across the front as well as a collar and cuffs prims. Each attachment is modified by a resizer script so you are ensured to get precision accuracy in finding your perfect size. The decorative Koi on the front is a soft blue color and would work with not only jeans, but with more structured fancy pants such as a khaki. Making this shirt wonderful to dress up and to dress down. The cogs leather pants in black are accented by the blue gears along the right side of the legs. It includes sculpted bottoms and a decorative patch across the rear for PEER clothing label. These pants are edgy, tight and help create a street worthy style for any man or woman.

I hope that you take the time and visit PEER. Its a hidden gem and would make a wonderful addition into any guys inventory.

It has been about a month since I actually took the time to blog. Sorry for my absence, but I had a serious case of the Holiday Blues and I lost that blogging feeling for a while. (I guess a year and a half away from home finally caught up to me.) I am however, planning on getting back on track with my blogging. Thankfully Luna has started another 52 weeks of Color Challange, which gave me the motivation I needed to work on another post. Since it's the New Year Luna has opted for this week's color to be Champagne. Champagne is a wonderful color and to me has a symbolic meaning of renewal and celebration; which is exactly what the new year should be about. I don't want to make empty New Years resolutions or promises but I just want to remember the spirit of rebirth and starting new. I hope that I can start this year off right; stay on my blogging path and invest more time within my little store.

A slight chill

I have to show you some newness that has made it's way into my inventory. With this Winter Chill that has taken over I've been finding myself steering towards Tartan patterns. Something about Tartan screams winter and more specifically holidays to me. Adam and Eve recently released a new lingerie set and it's completely cozy and cute. Tarten Lingerie has a softness in it's design and looks as if it would feel warm like fleece or flannel which is quite perfect and ideal for the winter nights. This Cozy lingerie set is available in eight colors and has a several options for customization. Two bottoms are included both a boy short and a panty option as well as stockings with garters. The entire lingerie set is such a deal that it can't be passed up it's the perfect set to wear for snuggling on cold nights.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Finally It's winter time! More specifically it's getting closer to Christmas so I'm all giddy already. I absolutely love this magical and special time of the year. I enjoy decorating my SL home, dressing up in cute holiday outfits and even finding special holiday presents around Second Life. It's this time of year that I find so enchanting. I'm going to try my very best to keep you up to date on some events and newness around Second Life. There are so many activities time of year and blogging all items and events is almost impossible, but I'll try my best.

Advent Calendars
Oh goodness... Advent calendars one of the best holiday traditions IMHO because they are so much fun. Counting the days down to Christmas, each day they deliver a special little gift to you. Which makes the anticipation of Christmas grow and the excitement build as the celebration is drawn out.

CDS Monstery Advert Calendar
Arria Perreault curator of the Monstery in CDS has created a wonderful Advent Calendar for this festive season. The Theme of the monastery's advent calandar is Sleep. Each day we are treated to a selection from a series of sleep paintings. This Advent Calendar is wonderful because it's a break from the usual gifts and is a chance to view art and explore a new location. I highly recommend this advent calendar if you would like a place to explore that is peaceful and quiet.

SwayLand's Advent Calendar
Located right in the middle of the Christmas section of Sways there is a wonderful Christmas tree with presents under it. Each present is available starting at 4pm slt and is available for 24 hours. SwayLand's Advent Calendar is a bit different because there is a small twist. In order to get each item you must find the hidden box that corresponds to the gift of the day. It's a lot of fun because it's both a hunt and an advent calendar in one. If you miss a day don't worry Sway has you covered, once the day has passed and a new gift is placed under the tree the old gifts are available for purchase.

Ivalde Advent Calendar
This has been my holiday tradition for years now. Every year I look forward to all the goodies that Nef will place under the Christmas tree. This year's advent calendar is a bit different prom previous years because Nef is handing out clues that we must use to find the advent gift selected for the day. I'm enjoying this new twist Nef has given her yearly tradition. In order to participate you must be a member of the Ivalde Group, which will take a group spot, but it's totally worth it when you consider the fantastic free gifts Ivalde provides.

Vintage Fair- Part 2

Today's post is all about spicing up the night and slinking into something sexual, something flirty, something fit for a Burlesque......

The Vintage fair is still going strong and is showcasing so many wonderful designers. Open until December 3rd there is still plenty of opportunity to visit and find your special vintage piece of clothing. My picks for today are both lingerie outfits that I found during the fair. These slinky pieces of lingerie left me mesmerized by their intricacy in design. I love the clever use of sculpts that both League and Philo use to accentuate the perfect curves of a woman. Providing the ultimate sense of comfort these lingerie pieces are made to bewilder.

Election uh oh???

I've decided to write my views on the election's status here in my blog, because I feel the forum post on the portal site is more about arguing, personal feelings and trying to cast blame rather than actually looking at the issues and finding a solution.

Today is 11/12/2011 which is the day CDS citizens are supposed to be heading to the polls to cast their votes for the new election. Democracy in action, right...however it seems this is not going to happen as smoothly as we would have all hoped. It's been brought to our attention on 11/11/2011 (one day before we were supposed to start casting votes) that there is a hiccup in the election process. This information was not given by a member of the SC (Scientific Counsel), but rather it was delivered by a member of the Executive branch and a candidate for this current election itself. While I am thankful that we received a notice about the election from someone that had the privilege of reading the 28 email exchanges and knew fully what was happening I am extremely livid that the SC didn't speak up sooner. Currently we still have no update on how this situation is going to be officially handled.

So what was the problem?? New Citizens and Election qualifications

Each citizen is required to be a citizen of CDS for 28 days prior to any election. It's in our constitution, and we can read it here. There was a mistype on the forums where it was assumed that Nov 3rd was the actual cut off date. Due to this mistype and many believing this information was correct we allowed new citizens to believe they would be able to participate in our democratic voting process. The Executive branch even offered reduced parcels as an incentive to increase citizenship.

Our new Citizens are an added value to CDS. They have an interest in democracy and have shown an interest in running for office, participating in events, meetings and CDS' future as well. I don't think they should be penalized for our mistake. (Our meaning the CDS community) This election is causing a rift between our community instead of becoming something that we all work together on.

To me pointing fingers at anyone that was involved in the first 28 email exchange is wrong. The people in these email were only acting out in CDS best interest. This isn't what we should be concerned with rather we should be asking , "Why the SC didn't give more information and guidance on the Election? Why CDS after being a community for over 7 years and having 2 elections each year for a total of 14 elections or more are we having questions about how our election is processed? The SC has failed us on this election. To me it's tainted.

The SC lost note cards on candidates announcing their intention to run
The SC didn't provide debate information or times

This entire election has been poorly handled from the beginning.
This isn't the first time something has gone a miss during a CDS election, during another election in 2008 where there was a question on tabulating votes. As others have pointed out this isn't the first time the SC has goofed up, but hopefully we can make it the last.

Vintage Fair- Part 1

I'm so excited to see the Vintage Fair come to life in SL because this fair is one that was thought up by a dear friend of mine, Beulah Mills. Beulah who had such a love for all things vintage and was wonderful blogger, manager of Ivalade and beautiful person both inside and out wanted to create a fair where vintage designers could showcase their items. She thought of bringing together designers both known and unknown to give everyone en equal opportunity to be seen. With the help of Keira Seerose and CHIC Management Beulah's vision became a reality in Second Life.

The Vintage fair opens today Friday November 11, 2011 at 4pm. Two sims are dedicated to highlighting vintage fashions Classic and Retro. The Vintage Fair is sponsored by Ivalde, oOo Studio, PurpleMoon Creations, GiZZa Creations, Ingenue, Artilleri, Alienbear's and Indrya Origionals

Please check out the official Vintage Fair website for all the complete details. Music will be held everyday to help create a wonderful environment. There is also a flickr photo competition sponsored by CHIC Management. The Prize is pretty fantastic, 70k in Lindens all i can say is WOW. make sure you check out the vintage fair's official site for all the detials.

For Today's post I decided to play up the southern belle ready for the Vintage Rodeo. All most all of the articles of clothing I am wearing today are from the Vintage Fair. Lets start at top MADesigns Hair in Demi is vintage couture bliss. There are a numerous amount of styles available from MADesigns, limiting myself to purchase one was really hard. I'm trying to resist the urge to go back and buy more. My skin is from Essences and it's called Dharma. When I first saw Inka Mexicola's photo of Dharma on flickr I new this skin would be one I had to have because Dharma is so stunning and beautiful. I love the ethnicity that is shown on this skin. Jewelry is from Finesmith, Isabella. I became attracted to the intricate designs of this set. Finally a new to me store Indie Rose created a vintage party dress that is to die for.

52 weeks of Color Challenge, Week 52- Orange you Happy?

It's the final post on Luna's 52 weeks of Color Challenge. I delayed a bit in writing this post because to me it's a sad one. I loved that Luna created these color challenges for our blogging community. Each week I would shop around trying to find the perfect color match. Some weeks I hit it spot on, some....mmm not so much.

The point is those of us that completed this color challenge did so because it was fun. We felt a sense of unity among fellow bloggers that pushed us further in our commitment until we completed all 52 weeks. That's a year. I'll tell you towards the middle of the challenge I nearly gave up, because I thought I would never catch up after falling so far behind, but I had some encouragement from fellow blogger, Beulah Mills (who sadly left SL recently).

Every week I looked forward to adding my picture to the flickr group and seeing each blogger provide their interpretation of the color. There were artistic photos, photos of fashion and even personal photos added to this pool. Such a wonderful unique group of bloggers.

You might be asking, What's next for blogging challenges? I know there is a new Alphabet Challenge going around, Luna is currently working on it, although I'm not sure on the details I bet Luna has them listed on her blog. For me, I think I'll take a break on blogger challenges for a while to focus on other projects and continue blogging.

Currently I am running for Chancellor in CDS. I've been campaigning by creating a special blog for my campaign. I even created a basket filled with campaign goodies. Inside the basket there are not only promotional material for my campaign, but a bottle of wine I made specifically for CDS and an "I voted button so citizens can wear after they submitted their vote. I'm not sure if I will win this election, but it's been an interesting and exciting time trying. I promise to update here on what happnes after the election. Cross your fingers for me that I'll have good news to report.

The Great Heist

She made it past the first three lasers and looked over her shoulder giving a knowing wink. This was going to be a piece of cake. She only had to cross a couple more obstacles then she was home free. She was the best in the industry, known for her flexibility and grace. As she maneuvered her way across each laser effortlessness her catsuit provided a tight snug fit moving with her seamlessly.

Adam and Eve has a new Latex outfit, Sweetheart which is a combination of both a catsuit and micro mini. I thought it might be a bit fun to wear mine as a mission impossible, robbery outfit. I'm dressed from head to toe in white, because like from that scene in Charlies Angles we have to be invisible and stealthy to break into the vault.

52 Weeks Of Color Week 51- Cream

Only one more Color challenge to complete before we reach the end of Luna's 52 Week of Color Challenge. The next color is Orange, but I'm a week behind (As usual). I'm hoping that I can work really hard and fit in another post this week to finish up on time with everyone else.

This post is all about cream. I personally enjoy cream as a color because it brings to my mind images of Ice cream and rich sauces and soup. (I have a bit of a food obsession right now) This not quite white and not quite beige color is also key in higher end clothing designs and is essential to the fashionista's wardrobe for fall. Cream a color that is decadent, rich and uber classy.

When I started searching for my outfit I was drawn to Ivalde's Allona beige dress- 1960. I found this dress to be perfect in length and style as I'm a fan of the retro era. I paired it with GOS curvaceous boot in white because it brought out the softness and cream in Allona.

Finally I want to point out my new skin from Adam and Eve, Piper. Piper is wonderful for anyone that has a love of freckles, this skin provides just enough freckle coverage without going overboard. I love that the face of this skin is so sweet, a down to earth and girl next door type. Sachi did a wonderful job in creating Piper. I purchased Piper on a promotion offer that Sachi was running for this skin during the Halloween weekend. It was discounted to 1200L which was a 600L reduction quite the deal, if I do say so. Make sure you join the Adam and Eve group to stay up to date on the latest sales and promotions.

Pumpkins and Fall

I can officially say that Fall has managed to make it's way to our little part of the world bringing with it colder temperatures and a hunger for snuggles and pumpkins. Yes, Pumpkins. Frankie and I have set up a pumpkin patch on our land in CDS and have been enjoying living in the area for the last month. We almost have our home finished and can't wait for some of our friends to stop by for an official visit. CDS is holding elections in the next couple of weeks, the last day to become a Citizen and join in the Democratic process of voting is November 3. Frankie loves our land so much he even plays with Hugo from time to time.

About three weeks ago I had the great pleasure of filming Cleo Couture's fashion show, "It's a love thing". It was a really fun experience and was a chance for B.Semyorka Productions to work on a new project. Cleo Coture provides an assortment of clothing for every type of woman. I fell in love with the outfit shown above , "Dripping Desires" while filming. After the show Cleo graciously provided me with a copy of this dress. It makes me feel like a goddess covered in gold and showing enough bare skin to make mere mortals blush.

Spoiled Homemaker- Week 50 Mulberry

Can you believe I'm still wearing my Spoiled Vampire Princess Avie? It's been almost two weeks and I'm still having so much fun, sadly all good things must come to an end and it's time to retire my doll after today's post. I've found a new toy to play with.....a Centaur. I can't wait to snap some photos and show you all my new Halloween costume.

For today's post I'm playing the Spoiled Homemaker. I have been working hard on my home in CDS decorating and trying to get it all settled in. I almost have my kitchen area complete it just needs a few more final touches...then I can call it perfect. Ok not perfect but perhaps done.

My outfit is for the 52 weeks of Color Challenge post week 50 color Mulberry. During Collab 88 I found a cute dress from Ingenue, I knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge and for showcasing fall. The next Color Challenge is Cream.

Playing the Coquette

It's not often that I take scantily clad photos but with Diesel Works' new pose set, the "Coquette Seat" I couldn't resist taking the time to turn the camera lenses on myself to snap a few shots of my unmentionables. "The Coquette seat", includes fifteen poses which are all very seductive and ten fabulous fabric texture choices for the seat. I had a hard time limiting my pictures to two for this post, but I figured that there will be plenty of opportunity to play the Coquette in the future.

Spoiled Vampire Princess- Week 49-Wenge

Since it's so close to Halloween I've been wearing a doll avatar around second life for fun. I've noticed some interesting things that have occurred over the last couple of days, although I can't say that it been completely positive. I'll get into the differences I've noticed later.

First off the Spoiled Vampire Princess avatar is so cute and well made. It's a complete avatar and includes, two skins, two sets of ears (human and Nymph) and claws as well as a doll head shape. I love that this Doll is cut but evil. I picked it up from the For the Love of Hunt. My outfit is tailored to the 52 weeks of color challenge, color Wenge, week number 49.

so back to the little things I've noticed since wearing my new avie. The Spoiled Vampire Princess is a small shaped avatar that is supposed to resemble a doll; however I am getting mistaken for a child avatar. Friends who are not used to seeing me outside my normal shape have commented on " How short I look". Strangers have stopped mid conversation and refused to acknowledge my hello. Even a normal shopping trip resulted in a couple of comments that were negative from other patrons.

Negative comments aside, it's not going to stop me from wearing this avatar because in the end it's really it's quite fun to wear. I plan on continuing dressing as a doll for a while at least until I find a new Halloween Costume.

52 Weeks Of Color Challenge- Week 48, Moss Green

It's been a pretty hectic week for me in SL and RL so I'm slightly behind.....Again. I have a couple of new projects in the works and hope to be able to tell you more about them soon, planning has become my new obsession.

This color challenge is all about moss green. I've been wearing this outfit for a week now which is a bit unusual because I'm often someone that changes outfits quite frequently, but what can I say I love me some Retro and Artilleri.

Next color challenge post is Wenge, which is similar to brown. It's a wonderful Fall color. Only 4 more challenges left. Hurray!

A Step Back in Time

As promised I am blogging one final time on L'Abel's new fall line to highlight my favorite dress out of the entire collection the Nona gown in Red. This scarlet gown is classy and falls all the way to your feet while large ruffles wrap around your body accentuating your curves. Nona is ideal for creating an enchanted glamorous look and almost transports you back into time. The Nona gown is available in four different versions, Black, Gold, Red and Grey.

I found Nona to be a great compliment to the CDS location Locus Amoenus because of it's toga like qualities. I happen to have a soft spot in my heart for LA, and think it's the prettiest out of all the CDS five sims, but that could also be because I'm a bit biased since I'm a new resident to this location. 52 Weeks Of Color- Week 47- Khaki and some LUJU Love

I'm going to be talking about a few things in this post today and not only Luna's 52 Week of Color Challenge. First off, only five more weeks left and I'm both a little relieved and saddened by this. Doing these little color challenges have been so much. They helped provide the motivation I needed when my blogging became stagnant. I'm going to miss them when they are over, but will also enjoy completing the final set Luna has lined up for us.

At first I thought finding an outfit in Khaki would be impossible, but once again I underestimated the wonderful content designers of Second Life. Thankfully, I managed to compete a look in Khaki. The one item I decided was an absolute must in my outfit was this warm pink cardigan from Tee*fy. I will say that Azure provides wonderful customer support and was very quick and helpful when I had a small mishap with Second Life eating my Cardigan. I absolutely love this Sweater and hope that Azure releases more that are similar, it provides so much softness and warmth for fall.

Pointing out one other special item I'm wearing is New skin from Adam and Eve. Once I saw Ariadne I thought it was too cute not to use in today's post. I am planning on using this skin for a while and taking a deeper look at Ariadne in the future. Also I did take the time to complete a full post on MIEL's Puddle Boots, they are designed so beautifully and have so many options. Last but certainly not least I want to talk about Luna Jubilee again. (She's mentioned a lot in my posts) Luna is a dear friend and I happen to think she is a wonderful creator and visionary. She has completed so many things in Second Life and provided so much to our community. Her newest venture is LUJU Homes. She designed her first home Great Hopes and has it ready to view and purchase at her store.

Great Hopes is small in prims, but not tiny. Sitting pretty at 29 prims this home is dressed in Khaki and browns making it ideal for fall. So far I managed to create both a working and living space using the home. My favorite aspect of this home is the sliding doors. Each door slides across to the left and remains in its position until you click and direct it to move. I can't wait to see what Luna will create for us in the future she really has so much talent and creativity that the possibilities are endless.

The Unknown Hunt is celebrating its One Year Birthday. This Hunt is Created by Evelyn Harthshon, creator and owner of The Sleeping Koala.

My item for the hunt is the Genki Hat with Pink Polka dots. It's a sculpted hat complete with a brim and ears. Hair is not included, but with only a little effort you can edit an existing hair to fit under. Genki's name is given by Luna Jubilee, who is a friend and awesome creator of Bang! and JULU Homes.

Office Chic with L'Abel

As I've been exploring L'Abel's new fall line I noticed two outfits which exuded Office Chic, Mikki (shown above) and Miss Charlie (shown below) command respect and demand you be taken seriously by saying, "I'm the boss". These two suits says are wonderfully styled creating a balance of female empowerment and fashion trend. Tailored cut to show all your attributes these dark smoky charcoal gray hues are lively and perfect in accommodating any color you wish to accessorize with. The extra details added to each outfit such as the belt, flower pin (shown on Mikki) or black fur lined collar (shown on Miss Charlie) only illustrate how much care and detail Nef places into her work.

I really enjoy how Nef's has created her fall line. Each piece has been crafted to incorporate a style for any discerning women, by maintaining both a sensual and demure appearance. Keeping up with my 52 weeks of Color Challenge commitment today's Post is all about Brick Red. Funny little side note, I kept singing "Brick House" while putting this outfit together. (I know I'm silly) Next Week's Color Challenge is Khaki...bleh

When I first saw L'Abel's newest release Vada, which is part of the new fall line, I knew I had to blog it because of the Hounds-tooth print. Something about this print screams fall to me. When I saw that it was available in Red I knew it would be perfect for this color challenge. What I love most about the Vada design is that L'Abel has added an edge to a classic look by creating short trousers with an extremely seductive cut. The jacket is available in both an open and closed option providing you with more versatility for your stylizing. I do plan on posting more from the new line, so let's consider this a teaser to that post. Vada is available in both Red and black and Black and white color combination.

Whooo Hoo!! I finally caught up on Luna's 52 week of color Challenge and will be on track for the remainder of the time that's left, which is only 7 more weeks. I can't wait to see what colors Luna has lined up for us. I hope she throws us some pink towards the end. Next Week's Color is Brick Red.

I might be slightly cheating on this challenge because my dress is not completely bronze but is more of a gold color. I really couldn't help it because I fell in love with this dress from CLEO Couture. Gold Shimmies as this dress is called is a fun retro flapper inspired dress. Encased with bits of Gold, Bronze and Silver this dress is designed to move as you grace the dance floor or strut your finest walk. CLEO Couture has a large selection of formal and retro inspired gowns and is a bit of Old Hollywood Glam. I can't wait to see what Cleo creates next.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge Catchup 36,37,38- Part two

Pushing a bit further I am compiling another multiple color post for Luna's 52 Weeks of Color Challenge. The colors included in this post are Celadon, Lemon and Patriarch. I'm going to try really hard to complete the next set of challenges on time so I won't get caught behind again.

Celadon- Week 33

I'd like to point out that my outfit and shoes are all created by Katey Coppola. Katey who is known for her unique poses from her successful pose store Glitterati proves that her talent is not only restricted to one area. Katey has recently opened two new stores, "The Kid Company" (Clothing for children) and "Petticoat Lane", (Clothing for Women). Both new labels are so full of potential because these are her first wave of releases and they are made extremely well and provide options for customization. I think she is only going to improve as time continues and her skills grows. My dress is made up from two garments in Petticoat Lane. "Basic Tank" and "T-Shirt Dress" Shoes are from The Kid Company, and are so cute that they received their own post on "On Your Toes".

While scouting for colors on Luna's blog, I stumbled on a post titled, Happy Things: Before and After Flickr Group. Luna's post encourages to showcase side by side comparisons of before editing and after editing of a photo. After taking a look at the Flickr group I decided to try my hand at this showing my process. The corset and hair on the left side are photo shopped because the pose created a broken line along my waist and my hair cascaded into my shoulder and creating a messy look. You can check out a Side by Side Comparison on my Flickr stream. I'm far from a photo guru, but I try my best. If you have any suggestions or tips on how to improve please let me know.

The next colors I'm working on getting together is Melon and Apricot, after that I'm all caught up. That is until the new week starts. :D

Eeeeep! I fell behind again on the color challenge after all that promising to myself that I would keep on track. I'm roughly 7 weeks behind which is forcing me to combine multiple weeks into one post. I got the idea from Beulah Mills, friend and blogger, who was also slightly behind. 52 Weeks of Color Challenge Week 32 Jade

It has to be said that week 32 of Luna's Color challenge stumped me BIG TIME. In fact it's the reason why I fell behind again. I was having so much trouble finding a shad of jade I liked, finally I decided to compromise and use this color; although, I'm pretty sure it's not 100% Jade. The next color I'm working on is Mahogany. I'm pretty sure I have a good handle on the color already :D

I 'm going to let you in on a little secret. The Hair fair is my absolute favorite fair out of the entire year. I know I shouldn't play favorites but I just can't help it. I've been saving my lindens for this event and sadly I've already gone through half of my hair fair budget and I still have Demos in my inventory to sort through. Don't let my mini "whoa is me" fool you, it's completely worth it. Especially when comparing the cost of the items vs the benefit to receiving them. Gorgeous Hair and lending a helping hand to a charity in need.

This year's hair fair beneficiary is Wigs for kids, which is a wonderful organization dedicated to bringing wigs to children who have lost their hair due to medical reasons. I was really touched when reading the history of how this foundation was started. All hair styles at the hair fair are donation styles so even purchasing one new hair style in SL will help fund a RL child's new wig.

The Hair Fair which opened its doors on July 2, will run until July 15 and has some great styles available. Four summer themed sims with an easy to follow route make shopping the hair fair sublime. I've discovered some new to me stores and my favorite hair designers have only exceeded my expectations by creating decadent hair styles, making it hard to choose just one.

Make sure you take the time to de prim before visiting to make your hair fair purchases. The hair fair has provided low lag clothing for your convenience donated by DCNY and Exile. (I actually wore only a silver metallic skin that I use for my vendor photos to combat the lag.) You can easily circumvent some of the crowds by joining the DEMO group for the hair fair and receiving demos before purchasing. Another tip is avoiding peak hours for visiting the fair. Since I've moved to an euro time zone I discovered that the best times for visiting any fairs are Monday - Friday from 12am slt until 8:00 am slt, if you have an opportunity to test this out I suggest you do, just remember the weekend of any fair's opening is usually the busiest. Indy & Co. at the Accessory Fair

There is still a couple of shopping days left at The Accessory fair 2011 which will end on Sunday June 26. If you haven't visited yet please make sure you stop on in and tour the two sims which are dedicated to offering you some of the best Accessories in SL.

I'm actually sneaking in one last post because I found out Indy & Co. had a late start at the Accessory fair and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to show you the two exclusive items Indyra has created. The Farouk earrings and Farouk necklace are a beautiful Egyptian themed necklace and earring combination. The Farouk set has traces of deep red and teal which are accented by the shiny beautiful gold encasing each piece of jewelry.

Both sets are donation items for Relay for Life and the proceeds will benefit this worthy cause.

Newness at ISPACHI

Audrey has made her debut at ISPACHI yesterday and I'm super excited to give my review of the skin today. There has been a buzz floating around the feeds all week about this skin, I did my fair share of teasing by using the Audrey skin in all my posts this week.

I first discovered ISPACHI during the skin fair and was quite impressed with the quality of work the ISPACHI team presented. Take a trip to their main store location and you will find not only skins, but clothing, footwear, jewelry and hair for both male and female residents of Second Life.

Audrey is filled with character; little beauty marks grace the skin leaving angel kisses on the decolletage, tummy and back. Audrey has some key areas that I particularly like, behind the knees and under the arms are drawn quite well. I also love the softness on the shoulder blades and roundness to the tummy and cute button navel. I'm also loving the roundness of the booty; and other special delicate lady bits are well done. I do have one area of the skin I wish were slightly different: it's the area on the sides that show the ribs. I feel it's a bit too much and would love to see more softness in Audrey, more of a fleshy feeling to encompass women with fuller figures. This of course is a personal taste issue and not a complete deal breaker.

Audrey is available in seven skin tones ranging from light to dark. ISPACHI specialized in removing the orange hue from darker tones and creating natural skin tones. Twelve makeup options are available, each makeup provides a versatile effect allowing you to capture and create any desired look. Two options are available for cleavage as well as the option to wear the skin with a hairbase or without.

ISPACHI is definitely a store worth checking out filled with many wonderful designs; there is no telling what might suit your personality and taste. Audrey imho is a beautifully done skin that you should give the opportunity to entice your senses by trying on a demo.

a Bit of Sparkle

I'm having one of those days when I need a bit of sparkle in my life, thankfully I have the Tresor set created by Jewelry By Jake to add the extra glimmer into my world. I've been wearing this set all day because it makes me feel glamorous and every time I look at it I find myself falling into a little trance. The Tresor set is hypnotic and has a unique luminescent glow, that can be seen when zooming into the jewels. It's hard to describe exactly what is happening with the gems, but I'll try my best to explain. The Gem Stomes have movement inside of them giving them a unique sparkle effect. Switching between bright and dim hues the movement starts in the center of each gem and radiates out creating a swirl effect. It's really quite beautiful and if you are looking for a piece of jewelry that is slightly different and unique Jewelry By Jake is a store you should greatly consider.

Oui to Eiffel

Accessory Fair 2011- Part 2

I've been having so much fun creating looks with goodies from the Accessory Fair that it's become a bit hard to limit the amount of photos I showcase. I'm not going to bombard you with everything that I've fallen in love with instead I'll only highlight three photos.

One quick thing I'd like to point out before we talk about the Accessory Fair items is the beautiful skin I'm wearing from ISPACHI, Audrey is shown in all photos. I apologize for teasing you a bit by showing Audrey prior to her release, but it's so well done I couldn't resist using Audrey for these photos. I will be completing a full review of the skin later this week where I'll provide more details on Audrey. Audrey will be released on Saturday June 18th.

In Photo 1: I am showcasing Croire's Boho beaded accessories which includes a beaded broach, beaded earrings set and headband. This lovely lavendar set was the perfect compliment to dress up any casual look and adding an extra bit of flair.

In Photo 2: Split Pea and Kunglers became the perfect combination for a bit of Old Hollywood. Ivalde's newest release Elvira in Orangered is a 1930's glamorous flowing floor length gown. Split Pea's headpiece,"Say haven't you noticed? I ate the lotus" is costume couture done right. Just the right amount of beauty giving you a bit of "je ne sais quoi".

Finally, photo 3 is my accessory fair pick, I absolutely became enamored with the AIR's Treso Cage and Favole's Guardian wings. The Tresor cage is meant to store your precious items and has a total of six sensual poses. Favole's Guardian helped transform me into a beautiful golden winged creature.

I'm still finding goodies for the accessory fair I'd like to blog so please bare with me as I continue to post more of my findings.

Egyptian Dream at the Accessory Fair 2011- Part 1

The Accessory fair of 2011 is now underway, and it's an Egyptian dream. I completed my first round at the fair on Saturday and found some delightful goodies. The accessory fair is organized by GLANCE international agency and will benefit Relay for Life. GLANCE runway for life has raised over 235,000L and this amount is growing each day. Currently two sims containing a total of 43 different stores all catering to showcasing beautiful accessories. These sims are beautifully decorated in and egyptian theme and are perfect for taking photos. All photos in this post were shot on The Dig sim, which is sponsored by Mood and GOS. My favorite thing I've grabbed from the fair so far is this beautiful Scarab set from je suis. 100% of it's proceeds will be donated to Relay for Life. With so many stores and items I'm finding it hard to narrow down my choices for posts so I'm working on a second entry for the accessory fair, just keep an eye out for it soon.

A Little Relaxation

After a hard day of work I often find the need to relax a bit, by kicking off my shoes and sitting in the most comfortable chair in my home. For me the most relaxing chair is Diesel Works new Bean bags. I find it's the perfect spot to sit, and think about KittyCats, and other lovely sentiments such as the exciting news that I want to share with you. I am now one of new bloggers for "On Your Toes, The SL Shoe Blog", which was created by Anessa Stine. Don't worry I'll still be posting on my site frequently, but now I actually have a big reason to spurge and buy some of the fancy shoes I have been coveting since the shoe fair. I completed my debut post today and am showcasing the TokiD gladiator sandals. (shown in the photo) Feel free to take a peek at the post.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 31- Denim

This week's Color Challenge color is Denim. Thankfully I had a bit of this color already lined up in my inventory so matching was a bit of a breeze this week. Since it's been raining where I live I felt the need to tie in with the weather. Actually, I think I was just looking for an excuse to wear my Wellies because they are just so darn cute.

I want to take this time to point out the beautiful new skin from L. Fauna, Lea. This skin is gorgeous and flawless. It was love at first sight with Lea because it made me melt a bit when I first tried it on. Lea is fully healthy and provides a stunning body image creating a realistic and natural look. You can really see all the hard work Launa placed into Lea all over the body: The cleavage, stomach and tushie area in particular are my favorites. A total of nine skin tones are available and Launa makes Darks and Tans fantastic. The thing that really makes this skin unique is that Lea has two new options which I haven't seen other skin makers offer.

1) Customized Cleavage Cups Sizes
Four versions of cup sizes are available for customized beauty. Just like real life, all SL boobies are not made equally. Launa has helped create a voice to cater to boosoms of all sizes from A-D. Each size changes in contouring and shading providing the perfect amount of bust for each shape.

2) The option to have tattoo makeup added on to the skin.
L. Fauna is providing an excellent service for those that do not want makeup on tattoo layers. For 250L Plus the cost of uploading fees (10L) per Item she will combine her skin and makeup into one. You must already own the makeup and the skin you wish to combine into one. There are small limitations such as: not being able to modify the body or face of the skin. This offer only applies to newer skins Lola and Lapine are not customizable.

Launa is a wonderful artist and is currently attending art school. Watching her skin growth over the years is really exciting because it shows her wonderful artistic growth and her dedication to her skin line. Thank you Launa for always giving us your best.

Home Sweet Home

I'm totally loving the new home from Coeur, Bethany Heart has created such a warm and friendly space I can't wait to spend my time here. Sitting pretty at 234 prims, The Maison S.S. Momo, is a spacious single story four room Nautical themed dream. I have a bit of a weakness for nautical items. Today I'm going to show you my three most decorated rooms of the house. The fourth one is filled with kitties. It's in no condition for anyone to see.

To start off the Nautical goodness begins right at the front entrance with a doormat that welcomes you with " Anchors Away". On the left side of the entrance there is also a quaint sign stating "Wish upon a starfish".

Once you enter the home the main hallway opens to four rooms. The first room on the left is one I designated as a living room. A roaring fireplace, double sale ship and wheel helm are the extra touches that bring the nautical theme forward. I love the stripped wallpaper of this room because it's such a nice neutral color pallet which makes creating your own individual space very easy.

The next room on the left is a bedroom. The bedroom has a cute wall poem " Let's go to sleep in Paris, and wake up in Tokyo. Have a dream in New Orleans fall in love in Chicago." I think this poem is so romantic and fantastic and is perfect to tie in to traveling. The Maison S.S. Momo has a closet that I'm finding totally irresistible, the curtain has three positions: open, half- Opened and closed.

The final room I'm going to showcase today is the kitchen. It feels so completely natural to use this space to create a cozy culinary cove. This room has an open unrestricted doorway, and three windows that allow light to enter. For some reason having a kitchen in my SL home is a must for me recently, which is odd because in RL I can't stand the kitchen. Perhaps this is because I am able to have such a perfect place free from mess. If only keeping up with my RL kitchen were this easy.

52 Weeks Of Color-Week 30- Ruby

I can't believe I finally caught up to everyone on Luna's 52 Week of Color Challenge. I'm really excited to be at this point. When starting this challenge I made a commitment to myself that I would complete all 52 weeks and slowly I am. Now if I can only stay on track with the remainder 22 posts I'll be all set.

For this Color Challenge I decided to use a deep shade of red to capture the Ruby color. Ruby is my favorite gemstone because it happens to be my RL gemstone, gotta love the month of July. Today's look is compromised of items I already own, so I didn't need to make any special purchases for this post. It did give me a great excuse to sort and use things I had stored away.

The Next Color Challenge post is going to be Denim. I have almost a whole week to find my outfit, I am totally on the hunt for it. *crosses fingers*, I hope I am able to find something cute to wear, after all I love dressing up.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 29-Neon Carrot

At first when I read that this week's Color Challenge was Neon Carrot I became a bit nervous. I thought I used all of the bright orange hue that I owned in my Tangerine post, but thankfully I found a surprise in my inventory from Evelyn Hartshon owner of PomPomPom. This gorgeous bathing suit was given as a gift for subscribed members to celebrate over 1000 PomPomPomers. Evie did such a great job on this bikini. I am in awe of the finished look of it all, it's just a small sample of the beautiful handcrafted designs you can find at PomPomPom.

I have one more color challenge post to complete, Ruby. After that I will be completely caught up! I'm so looking forward to it. Let's hope I can find some Ruby soon.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 28- Pink

Pink Pink Pink. It's actually one of my favorite colors to wear in SL, because it's the ultimate girl color. Soft and Romantic Pink is a hue that I think brings to mind utter femininity. Normally I would use this color as an excuse to wear something frilly but today I decided to break out and bring a bit of edge to this color by sporting a Roller Girl look.

I picked up a total cute pose box set from Olive Juice, Sexy Sexin'. This set was a part of the 50L Friday and includes six poses. It's modifiable which means you can tint the color to your preferred choice. Oh and Olive Juice is hosting a photo contest as well. A total of four winners will be selected to have their pictures grace the walls of the Olive juice store. Your entry title should be clearly stated it's intentions to enter and sent to the Olive Juice Flicker page. Winners will be announced on Monday June 19, 2011.

The next color challenge post color is Neon Carrot, Fun Summer color with perhaps a bit of Vitamin A.

Country Chic in Italy

Tomorrow is the big day L'Abel is releasing their new summer collection, Country Chic. I have to say the new line is so much fun to wear because of it's romantic whimsical upscale apperance. It's perfect for mixing and matching and is 100% comfortable for summer. Nef has done such an amazing job with the textures, incorporating the sculpts and creating key versatile pieces which can be mixed and matched effortlessly. With so many options available wearing L'Abel so much fun.

I am showcasing three photos in my post today all using L'Abel pieces. I choose to stick with a white/pink color range, because they are my two favorite colors. There are other colors available in the new line. All are soft elegant shades which resemble light airy breathable textiles. Saying I love the new L'Abel is not enough. My admiration for Nef has seriously grown by 10X what it was before.

I want to point out the location where these photos were taken, La Perla II-Old Italy. I want to provide credit to Strawberry Singh for first blogging this location. We had kinda a serendipity moment where she posted right as I was taking pictures. I was a bit reluctant to complete this post using these photos, I didn't want to be a copycat. Strawberry does such a wonderful job highlighting the sim, better than I did. Her post, titled "So Social" provides wonderful information for content creators and for others on your online presence . She's a true teacher of SL. Thank you for always providing us with so much, several tutorials and news and insight on Second Life.

It's not often that I enter a photo contest, but when Shag announced their, "Are you Shaggable? "contest I couldn't resist and decided to enter. I'm a big fan of Shag hair, in fact some days it's all I want to wear because it's just so pretty. I've discovered some styles work perfectly with my bloom doll and others are great for breaking out the sultry side of Bells. Shag hair is always a win. I know the chances of me actually winning the contest are slim with so many amazing photographers in SL. but it's fun entering anyway. After all, It gave me an excuse to blog in my undies.

Oggi parliamo di Cucina. Oggi faccio un dolce alla fragola. la fragola e' la mia frutta preferita perche e' di colore rosso e gusto dolce e aspro.

"Hi Everyone!
Today we will talk about cooking. Today I'm making a dessert of strawberries. Strawberries are my favorite fruit because of the red color and sweet and tart taste."

As you can tell I've been practicing Italian and I have to admit I had a bit of help from Frankie on a couple of the words, but I think I'm slowly improving. Today I actually did make a strawberry dessert so I had a bit of fun in my RL kitchen and decided to extend it into SL as well. (so silly I know)

I decided to use my lovely bloom doll again and dress her up as a Italian Casalinga. (Although frankie says she's too elegant for the kitchen.) Today's post is on Olive. I had this outfit picked out since last week, but because I was a bit wrapped up in RL I had to postpone this post until today. Ivalde's Cyntia dress in Olive is perfect for my look today because it has a nice European flair. I love the embroidery on the chest and the frilly sleeves and dress bottom. Wearing this makes me feel fancy, perhaps a bit too fancy for just a normal housewife. Darn this makes frankie right...Well let's just keep this between us.

Oh and the next color challenge is Pink. I have oodles of this color already in my inventory. I can't wait to try and put together a look. I promise no bloom doll.

Cupcake and News from Bells Boutique

Hello Sweethearts!
I've been working pretty hard on a new store and new dress. I am so excited that I finally get to show the newness to you.

First off Lets discuss the New Store. Due to space limitations I had to move my store to a bigger location. (No more Pink Hostess Snowball.) Bells Boutique has a brand new build and has three separate areas of the store. Our hair shop has its own wing and is now called Mane Attraction. Our clothing line is still Bells Boutique. I've moved older items to the SL Marketplace and left newer ones inside our shop. I am also working on new clothing, so keep an eye out. Finally, I'm selling boxed kittens at my store. I currently have a big love for KittyCats and thought I would share the cuteness with others.

On to the dress. The Cupcake Dress is my first experimentation with Maya sculpts. The Cupcake dress is available in Six colors: Sugar (White), Grape Ice(Purple), Lime(Green), Cornflower(Blue), Coconut (Light Blue) and Berry (Pink). The Cupcake Dress resembles the sweet dessert in it's poofy balloon style bottom. The Cupcake dress has a polka dot pattern and is accent by a flower waist. Each color is named after a frosting flavor and is perfect for anyone that has a sweet tooth. The Cupcake dress is only 150L for each color and is available at my store location as well as the SLMarketplace.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 26 Tangerine

I did a bit of a check today. I'm only three behind on the Color Challenge, two after I complete Tangerine. I really had a lot of fun on this color because Tangerine is such a vibrant and fun hue. I thought my Bloom Doll would be best suited to represent Tangerine because of her fun larger than life appearance. I tried my best to represent Tangerine within my photo by choosing hair that resembled the delicious sweet fruit. I should note that this is the halfway point on the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, which means I've kept up with Six months of posts. :D

52 Weeks of Color- Week 25 Periwinkle

It's time to play catch up with Luna's 52 weeks of Color Challenge. I don't really know what the current week is and how car behind I actually am in the weekly posting. I think the next color post is Tangerine, but I'm not 100% sure. All I know is I'm behind and need to catch up. When I was putting together this look I became a bit confused about what Periwinkle actually is. I finally decided on a purple, gray hue with a slight blue tint. (I know so vague.) I tried my best to match and this is the look I came up with. I'm going to give a quick break down of my outfit because there is some newness that has to be mentioned.

First off I'm going to give a bit of pose love to Diesel Works for the Daisy Works pose set. I absolutely love the poses in this set. Diesel Works makes beautiful striking pose that are sexy, yet at the same time do not go over the top.

Next I have to draw your attention to the skin I'm wearing. As I was preparing for my picture I received a note card about a group gift from Glam Affair. Since the eye make up was a light blue/ purple hue I knew it was a must have for my skin post. Friendly note you must be a member of the Modavia group to get this skin and it is only available at the Modavia satellite location.

Gaia at PXL Creations....My Skin Fair Pick

I blogged earlier this week about how I was torn between skins from The Skin and Shape Expo. Making a decision on the final Skin was something I put a lot of thought into. One of the skins I had in mind and was mulling over was PXL Creations. I'm a pretty frugal person which means I'm always looking for a good deal in Second Life; often price is a major deal breaker for me. The final cost to my pocket book for the quality I received made PXL Creations My Skin and Shape Expo pick. Hart Larsson has made purchasing skins a customized extravaganza. With only a couple of clicks to the skin kiosk you can create your very own Fat Pack, complete with all the options YOU want.

There are Three levels in skin purchases. 1) Picking your Eye and Skin preference. Gaia is available in three eye selections Nude eyes, Cat eyes and Smoke eyes. There is a total of six skin tones available ranging from light to dark. Inside each skin base you will find three eyebrow options and three cleavage bases as well as a freckle options. Three bonus tattoo options are included; 1)buzz cut hair base 2)natural hair base 3)full body freckles. Once you have selected your skin base it's time to move on to Lips and Eyes.

The Second Level is a combination of both Skin and Eye makeup selection.
2) Pick your color. There are a total of 11 lipsticks available. The system will let you choose as many tattoo layers as you would like. After you have chosen your lipstick choices you can move on to Eye makeup. There is a total of 27 tattoo options available for eye makeup. The process is the same Select, Add, Continue. Once you have all the desired tattoo layers you can move on to the Check out process.

3) Checkout Time! This is when it pays off to be a member of PXL skin group because Heart provides an additional 20% off the total price of your purchase when completing a Fat Pack transaction. Individual sales using your PXL skin VIP group tag will allow you a 10% savings.

In the end I love this skin because of the great options that are available, The price and the ability to customize my Fat Pack into something I wanted. I know that with these options I will always be satisfied and happy with the skin I purchased.

I'm wanting to make a quick note about Glitterati, Katey has released a new Supercar! which is a cute prop for summer. Supercar is available in five colors Pink, Black, Red, Silver and Yellow. Each car has 20 poses, 10 female and 10 male poses. It even has working headlights. I am using the car prop in my photo, but I added an extra detail, the Unicorn to make it extra girly. It's not my drawing to be fair. I want to note I kinda cheated and did a search for Unicorn and used an image from the net.

In Bloom

I awoke this morning to a frenzy of plurks about the New Bloom Dolls at Surf Co. I was all excited and happy because ever since Emma released the teaser pics earlier this week I have wanted to get my hands all over the Bloom Dolls. These dolls are super cute and Customizable. Eye color, Lids and Lashes are all color changing. A total of Six Dolls are available: Clark Bloom (The Boy), Boo Bloom, Strawberry Bloom, Spooky Bloom, Toonip Bloom, Mocha Bloom. Each doll varies slightly in appearance making it easier for your personality to shine through.

You will need to make adjustment to any hair you would like to use, but it's really not that difficult from any normal adjustment you might already make for hair. I was torn between the Strawberry Bloom and Boo Bloom doll, in the end I decided to purchase the Boo Bloom Doll because of the freckles.

Not Quite a Pokemon Nurse

I always liked Pokemon, more specifically I always enjoyed when the Pokemon would get injured in a battle and be sent to the Pokemon Center to get well. (Not that I approve Pokemon Violence) Something about the whole Pokemon medical process intrigued me. Today I'm portraying an SL version of Nurse Joy healing my injured Piggy and making sure it receives lots of Love and Attention. Allright, enough of the sillyness, lets get serious and talk about skin.

I'm still taking the time to blog goodies from the Skin and Shape Expo 2011. I was so thrilled to find Amacci's newest skin Katie. Now I have been a fan of Amacci and Carina Larson (Creator) and I think the new skin is to die for. Katie is released specially for the Skin and Shape Expo and is available in two skin tones at the moment, Fair and Nutmeg. More skin tones will be released at a later date. One of the best things about the new skin line Katie, is the options. I was amazed by all that Carina has match up with this skin. The Extra accompaniment to Katie includes Twelve tattoo lip sticks, which can be purchased separately. As well as sixteen different makeup skin options available for purchase in packs of four. Amacci even is showcasing a special edition skin where 50% of the proceeds are going to Direct Relief International.

I hate to admit it but finding a good location for taking a photo can sometimes be challenging. It's an essential part of any blog post, just as any skin or article of clothing. I often forget to provide proper credit of where I snapped a photo, but today I'm going to make up for it by providing not only the SLURL, but also some information regarding what I found to be one of the best hospitals in SL. Rock A Bye Medical Center and Hospital is a full service facility with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was quite impressed with the medical process and equipment they had on hand. I highly recommend that if you are interested in Medical Role play you take the time to visit this location. They will fix any medical disaster you might have.

Skin and Shape Expo 2011

The Skin and Shape Expo of 2011 is now OPEN! I have been saving my lindens and awaiting this fair for sometime now. As a blogger for the Skin and Shape Expo of 2011 I was granted access to the fair one day in advance. I didn't make any purchases at this time, but rather visited each booth and picked up demos. I'm still trying to narrow down my purchase for the skin fair. As of right now It's a toss up between two skins. More than likely I'm going to cave and buy them both. (I know I'm not a strong willed person when dealing with skins).

The Skin and Shape Expo of 2011 will run from May 10, 2011 until May 20, 2011. Which means there are only ten full days of skin shopping fun. The benefactor of the Skin and Shape Expo is Direct Relieve International. 50% of special designated vendors will be donated to this worthy cause.

I also want to mention that the Skin and Shape Expo is also hosting a photo contest. The deadline for entries is May 18th 2011.

In the photo above I am showcasing Essences' Alma Skin. Arwen Fay owner of Essences was kind enough to drop off this skin to me. I'm really enjoying the beautiful eye and Lip options available in the skin pack. Alma is available in Five skin tones and each skin tone has Eight makeup options. I can't wait to use the luscious red lipped skin in an upcoming post.

52 Weeks Of Color- Week 24 Eggplant

Today's post is a color challenge, which brings me just one step closer to catching up to everyone who's on track. Because today was the Royal wedding I figured it would be a great day to present the deep regal purple Eggplant color. Earlier this morning I watched the Royal Wedding, along with my fellow plurk friends and millions all over the world. It was spectacular, Kate was stunning and she looked flawless in her dress. I'll admit the ceremony had me teary eyed. I'm just a romantic, what can I say. The sense of community and love made me happy making today a fond memory. I wish the best for Kate and William, It's nice to see Real Life fairy tales.

Mi Sento Bonita (I feel Pretty)

A little explanation on the title, As I'm learning Italian I often find myself muddling languages together. Half Italian/Spanish " Mi Sento Bonita" is a hybrid of the two. Mi Sento means "I feel" in Italian. "Bonita" means pretty in Spanish.

I've been using my thrifty nature to find freebies and low priced items from The Seasons Hunt, The Dressing Room and Group Gifts. Partly because I'm frugal but also because my darn KittyCats are making me poor, but I really enjoy them so I'm not complaining. So let's talk about the goodies.

First off Dutch Touch, all I can say is Wow on this one. I usually stick to tan skin-tones, but AmBeR was a well welcomed change from my normal skin routine. AmBer is a group gift available to VIPs only. Adam and Eve also released a pretty set of eyes as a group gift. These Lavendardell eyes remind me of my Siamese kitty eyes so much. (I'll post photos of her soon)

The Seasons Hunt was so much fun and I managed to find some "new to me stores". I've even created a wish list of items that I'll go back for in a couple of days. I have to remember to have patience and not buy everything at once. LaGyo is on of the stores that is "new to me" and now a store I have on the wish list, here's why. Jewelry. I am completely enamored by the collection it has a Yummy/Paper Couture feel it just makes me feel pretty.

Finally I stumbled into The Dressing Room and picked up this dress from Emery. I always manage to find something cute at The Dressing Room which is why it's become a quick stop when doing some shopping therapy.

In all my look today made me feel pretty and lifted my spirits, which I needed. Thank you to the designers that worked hard on their creations and provided them as group gifts and lower priced items. Your hard work is appreciated.

52 Weeks Of Color-Week-23-Asparagus

I'm pulling double duty again rolling together a color challenge and spilling about Adam and Eve's Newest skin Paige. First off, grumble grumble......Asparagus is such a hard color. I thought about skipping this post all together, but finally was able to find this cute top at SySy's spring sale, which made me lucky. Double lucky because SySy's of the magic word SALE. After finding the perfect top the rest of my spring Asparagus outfit almost came together on it's own. Which made me Happy...but you want to know what the whipped cream and cherry on my fashion ice cream sundae...it was....Skin.

Paige is the newest sweet faced skin Adam and Eve has released and it's a fresh radiant and youthful. I love the subtle innocence Paige exudes which is a great compliment to the warmer spring weather that's slowly encroached upon us. Paige is available in four skin tones and includes a large amount of bonus tattoo options. A hair base, six lipsticks, 4 eye shadows, Mani and Pedi and even busty cleavage enchanters. Rrrarw. With all these available goodies Paige is well worth it's price.

So now I've completed 23 out of 52.... Only two more to catch up on. Next color Challenge is eggplant...and I'm ready.

Perfect Perse

It's not often that I take the time to post about shoes, but I have to share with you how excited I am about the newest release from Perse. Aphrodite Outlander, (or Aph as better known on Plurk) is the owner of Perse and has created some fantastic looking boots. The Ascot boot collection is charming, beautifully done and original. While I'm only showcasing one set (Winter Hazel) in my posts today you can bet that more colors will be shown in future posts.

Aph was kind enough to share updates of her progress of The Ascot boot during it's design on Plurk. It was amazing to see the transformation unfold as she worked in Blender. She asked for advice from fellow Plurkies during her texturing and naming process. It was so heartwarming to see the responses flow during her creative process. Plurkies provided encouragement and feedback as she posted each new update. In the end Aph complete a total of Ten colors. Five in Natural tones and Five in Spring pastel colors. The Ascot boot is simply amazing and is something I enjoy wearing in SL. Truth be told I haven't taken them off in the last three days. It feels just so Perfect to wear Perse.

Aprophidite is a talented artist in both RL and Second Life. She has shared her art that she has created using her Ipad on Plurk for us to admire. One of my favorite things I have seen her draw is a ballet slipper, which had excellent shading and realism. I only hope that she one day makes a pair in SL that we can enjoy as well. So I have a bit of a confession here. I had this photo completed since Tuesday, but only found the time to complete a blog post tonight. Today's color challenge post is Banana Mania, after some careful consideration and searching within my inventory I was able to find a suitable shade of Yellow from Zaara. Personally this is one of my favorite dresses from Zaara, because it's so completely suited for spring/summer. The next color challenge I am working on is Asparagus. Currently I'm on the hunt for this color. I can't seem to find a suitable look, but just give me time and I'll be caught up soon. Only Two more posts to complete, perhaps three if I slack a bit. I need motivation to get caught up.

Yay! I'm moving on to number 21 in Luna's 52 Week of color Challenge. In catching up it seems that all I have been posting has been color challenges. I promise, I have a good reason for not blogging as much. I've been working on learning sculpts in Maya and creating new dresses. I hope to have some new releases soon. In completing this post's color challenge I knew I wanted to use this dress from Mimikri. I've had this dress in my inventory for sometime and never had an occasion to wear it. I absolutely LOVE the flowery design of the skirt and translucent jacket caressing my shoulders. I found a great spot in Tempura to snap this picture. I'm eagerly looking for some Banana to wear on my next color post. 52 Weeks of Color-Week 20-SkyBlue-New Release

I waited to complete this color challenge because I wanted to use my own design. (So, please excuse the double duty on this post.) :D I'm proud to say that Bells Boutique is taking part in The Little Big Shop fair as an authorized vendor. As a vendor I have donated 100% of the profits of the Cherry Blossom Girl outfit to fair's benefactor, The Water Project. Our Goal is to donate 500 (usd) to the charity at the end of the event. As of Saturday TLBS had raised $146.96 (usd). YAY! Lots of great designers and Artists have come together for this event. Big stores and Little stores have collaborated together making some terrific items. All designs are relating to water or are in a shade of blue. If you haven't checked it out it's worth a visit.

It as to be said that Ivalde's new build is gorgeous. Tucked away in a mountain landscape the Ivalde's landscape includes rolling hills, water falls, a seaport which hides a sea serpent and beautiful Norwegian buildings. It's a great sim to explore and use as a scenic background for photos. One of the things I found most charming about Ivalde can be found located inside the main store. On each room Nef has created plaques that give a bit of information and history of the style of each era of fashion. Making Ivalde not only is the sim worth looking at but also a place to further a bit of knowledge in fashion. Just in-case you haven't seen Ivalde has recently released some very cute designs.

In this post I am showing just a few of my favorites from the latest big release. (So please excuse the multiple pictures) I mostly kept to Pink, for this post because I felt it most represented spring, not to mention I really enjoy this color. Ivalde always provides several color options so finding your favorite hue is never an issue.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 18-Ecru

So as promised I'm quickly getting through the 52 weeks of Color backlog and catching up to the current Week. This posts color is Ecru which is a gold/brown color. Lucky once I saw Luna's Color pallet on her post I knew I had some Ecru in my inventory. Thank Goodness. (Only four more to catch up on.) I'm wearing some older items from Armidi. I believe the Armidi sim is still around, but I'm not 100% sure on the dress or heels. Either way these items are SL vintage because they have been around since 2008 era; however, I still think they have stood up to the SL test of time. The next Color challenge is Umber. I am going to try and find a cute look for this post. Oh and Don't worry I'm done Spamming you today with color challenge posts. I'll wait till tomorrow before I post another one ;)

52 Weeks Of Color- Week 17 Electric Lime

I have A LOT of catching up to do so please excuse me while I spam you for the next couple of days until I catch up on The 52 weeks of color. I struggled with this one for a bit because finding Electric Lime was seriously hard work. Now I know this color is not truly Electric Lime, but I had to compromise to fill this week in. I tried to get as close to Lime as I could. The next color is Ecru, and I have "What the Hell is Ecru" sifting in my brain. Luna has really made this next couple of upcoming color posts hard. I'm rolling up my sleeves and digging deep in my inventory for the next couple of challenges.

I'm planning on showcasing some new outfits on an upcoming post from Ivalde. Nef, has created some really beautiful dresses, corsets, and workout gear. The entire Ivalde sim has been redesigned and looks fantastic. I just thought this dress was too cute not to wear for the Lime color challenge, so take it as a sneak peak.

Fashion For Life- Part Two

Can you believe that Fashion for Life has already raised over two million lindens already? I was so excited when I read the group notice yesterday. From the last notice I read it's getting close to three million and to think that there is still a week left for the fair. I decided to put together a darker look from some of the Fashion for Life goodies I've acquired.

Starting off with hair, Amacci has four striking dark styles available. The tips are tinted with hints of lighter blond adding highlights and depth into Amacci's style. I also wearing a wonderful dress from Lee Zu! Eariler this week I worse the Lizz Flexi Dress in gray today I'm showcasing it in black. This beautiful donation item has a plunging neckline and a soft sheer skirt.

Earlier today I visited the Chic Limited Event to pick up some goodies. Chic Limited is designed to offer an assortment of wonders from various quality designers from across the grid in one location. This month's theme is "The Elements". I have been doing some major damage to my linden balance recently, because of Fashion For Life so I was a bit hesitant to attend Chic Limited. I can honestly say that I did try to refrain, but eventually my shopping ~~disorder~~ talent came out. Feeding my inner demon I managed to pick up some great items, but I'm not planning on blogging them all today. That would be silly. Instead, I'm going to highlight Ivalde's Demi skyblue dress, because it's spectacular and quite flawless, IMHO.

Once I put on the Demi dress I felt like an European lady; fancy and proper, all dressed in the gorgeous blue hue. The rose print alone would make the Demi an excellent garden party dress, ideal for spring. I also can't get over how dainty and feminine the gloves are. They help provide the touch of woman mystic Ivalde is well know for. The Demi dress is available in both an Earth (Orange) and skyblue hue and are Exclusive to Chic Limited.

Now, I have to let you in on some News going on at Ivalde. Currently the Ivalde sim is undergoing a remodeling process so sadly it's closed, but don't worry there are still several ways to continue shopping. Satellite stores are located across the grid. Fashion For Life- Day one

So today I made my second Trip to Fashion for life and All I can say is WOW! The sims are amazing quite stunning in black and white. All sims are named after famous black and white photographers and each has it's own theme. In second Life articiture these builds are top notch and worth visiting, lots of great areas for snapping photos too.

Today's look is all about comfort, playing off my usual casual Sunday mode I decided to find pieces that were cozy and cute. Let's start with the sweater. Schoen is offering this Weich sweater in brown, (donation item). Ideally for Men, but I managed to sneak it out of Fra's closet and wear it as my own. (Don't tell him, it's our little secret) I'm enamored with the large collar and sculpted sleeves. Even the soft hue is one that I've been admiring. Next is Riddle's Couduroy Pants In white, (donation item). Available in three colors these chords are really nice and well made. Although you can't see since I have my over sized sweater on, the detail work on the waist and belt loops is part of my favorite part of these pants, not to mention the bottom sculpts. Thankfully the sculpts don't extent too far down to hide my new Elikatira shoes. The Move Pumps, (donation item) is available in two colors Powder and Near Black, both are great essentials for the basic pump.

A Time to Remember....

During this time of year there is one person I can't seem to get out of my mind. I think about her often and my heart is filled with a heavy sadness because I miss her. I miss everything she was: a mother, grandmother, wife, strong woman, beauty queen, a friend. I miss her advice, her warmth, the smell of her home and hearing her voice. It's during these days of Second Life's Relay for Life/Fashion for Life event that I can't get my grandmother out of my mind, because she was one of the many that lost her fight with cancer.

I never thought that cancer would affect anyone I personally knew, until the day came when my mother told me were we all going to a an oncologist appointment for my grandmother. My heart pumped fast and tears fell the only words I could manage were "She has cancer?" At the time I was living with my grandmother and would accompany her to various doctor appointments and help her with cleaning and cooking. She and I were dependent on one another, very close and our bond was strong. I watched the cancer take it's toll on her spirit during the following months after her diagnosis. She attended chemotherapy frequently and suffered through tests that were heartbreaking to watch. I can't speak for others but I remember feeling so much anger and resentment. Hearing her cry and knowing she was in pain was the worst feelings because I knew I couldn't do anything to stop it. I felt so helpless. The cancer didn't affect just one person, but everyone in my family felt it, we all suffered along with my grandmother.

One of the things that brought a greater understanding and helped me feel that my family was not alone was the Rely for Life event in Second Life. When I first found out about the event my grandmother had just received her diagnosis. I researched the American Cancer Society and donated as much of my lindens as I could, doing this gave me a sense that I was doing a small part to battle against cancer. It's one of the many reasons why I support Fashion for Life now. I will never forget how it effect families.

Today is the start of Fashion for Life, it will run from March 12-22 in 9 sims. This year's theme is "Beyond Black and White". I encourage you to visit the fashion for life blog for the most up to date information and LMs. During this week I will be blogging items from the fair, I've already picked up some goodies from the special donation vendors where 100% of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. I ask that you take the time to visit the fare and please make a donation if you can to help fund this worthy cause. Together we can accomplish so much. We can help offer support and strength bringing light into the darkness where cancer lies.

A little Appreciation

Recently I've been trying to expand my little store which has kept me busy in Second Life and away from blogging. I lost count on which 52 weeks of color I was on and became so wrapped up in creating some newness. This break from blogging made me realize two things..
1) I absolutely love blogging and miss it. 2) Creating is hard, but not impossible.
This has also given me a deeper appreciation of the designers I blog, because they are talented and amazing. I can't even begin to imagine how many hours of work they put into their designs.

I want to start off with Exodi, Ryker Beck has completed Sylvan and it's available March 11, 2011 which is Friday. (Sorry for the teaser) I have been waiting for this skin because I've watched it grow with each preview since November 2010. I love that Ryker implements feedback from her customers in her design process. The end result of Sylvan is gorgeous. Five beautiful tones, three brow colors, cleavage and freckles options too. Sylvan is my pick for Springs everyday wear because of the fresh makeup options available. Remember anyone who purchases a Sylvan skin within the first 24 hours will be entered in a drawing to win a Fatpack card from Exodi. Exodi VIP will enjoy 25% off fatpacks and 10% off individual skin purchases. Just make sure you're wearing your Exodi Group tag. I also hear Ryker is planning on releasing some additional options for Sylvan during the upcoming month so make sure to keep an eye out or for the best results become a member of the Exodi VIPs.

Next is Hair from Elikatira, Elikapeka Tiramisu is a hair genius imho. Currently I am attempting to make my own hair and have been having trouble, to say the least. I've been studying Elikapeka's hair designs and have begun to admire how she is able to manipulate the prims in each design. Elika's skill is top notch and "Novel" is super cute because it's a modern take on a retro ponytail.

Last, but certainly not least is Ivalde, Neferia Abel has created some really gorgeous outfits the last couple of weeks in Second Life. My new favorite is this yellow dress called Hester, because it's hue is perfect for spring. Nef has a wonderful eye for retro fashion and is able to bring a life to her designs. I admire all her seams and texturing work. It's one of the reasons I've been a loyal fan of her work since 2007. Oh and in case you didn't know Ivalde is on Facebook.

I'll be completing more posts later this week, hopefully I can get back into full blogging mode and catch up of the 52 weeks of color challenge, I think I have about 3-4 weeks to make up for. :D

52 Weeks of Color- Week 15-Red

I'm going to get this post in before I forget and fall behind. This week's color Challenge is RED. Red happens to be one of my favorite colors. I don't know why. but it is. I'm drawn to clothing that's red and am a total sucker for a pair of red heels. Recently I picked up many Red themed goodies to add to my inventory. Could this be because of the Valentines? hmmm yea, I think so.

So here are a bit of the recent Red goodies I've run across. The Dressing room had two great items. Hair from Plume and skin from Glam Affair. I had been dying to create a look using a combination of these two, they just seems so perfectly suited for one another. I had never visited Plume before so this little discounted hair at the dressing room was enough to get me into the store and visit. I have a couple of styles on my wish list. The style of hair is really great for fancy up dos and couture runway hair. so exotic.

Also a couple of weekends ago Lee Zu had a new release of clothing. I picked up two outfits and had been holding the BDSM Naughty Bird for a Red post. I also found a jewelry set from MOOD in my inventory. I can't believe I didn't blog it sooner. The earrings are a gorgeous cluster of pearls and the necklace has a silver leaf latch to tie the pearls together. It's a set fit for a Madame Royale.

Exodi Luv

It's been so exciting to see Exodi's new skin line Sylvan take shape. I've been following along with every release Ryker has shared since Nov 2010. In each preview you can see the subtle changes Sylvan has undergone until it's transformed into it's beautiful final product.

I'm in love with Sylvan's eyebrows, because they are perfect sculpted and have the right amount of arch to them. Sylvan's taught tummy is an area of the skin that I'm drooling over. Finally I won't fail to mention the oh so kissable lips Ryker has given Sylvan. I can't wait till Ryker releases the full line. The Candy Kiss skin is still available for sale at only 50L. I'm not sure how long Ryker will keep this skin available. Last I read from a group notice it was going to be removed on Feb 13th. so Hurry while you can.

Exodi also released a new line of Reflective eyes and they are gorgeous....like seriously gorgeous. I'm a bit picky when talking about eyes. Currently I'm loyal to two brands and Exodi is my favorite because no one can give shine and personality to your peepers like Ryker can. The Reflective eyes set all achieve a spectacular shine by adding subtle pink accents to the corners, which bring new brightness to Exodi's eyes.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 14-Black

It seems like I'm a week behind the color challenges now and to think, I was doing so well before. sigh. Moving forward here is my version of Week 14's Color Challenge brought to you by Luna Jubilee.

Truth be told I wasn't really in the Valentine spirit in SL. Since my SL partner and I are now husband and wife in RL, it just seemed a bit silly to get a bit excited in the virtual world. After all, I get to cuddle him in RL now. So this is my Anti-Valentine day picture, although it's a bit anti-climactic since the day has already passed.

Let's take a peek at the look. First off I'm loving this chair from Diesel Works. 23 incredibly sexy and stunning poses are included within the chair. Diesel Works' modeling chair is great for photo shoots and brings such diversity in on it's poses that almost any look can be captured at it's best.

I pulled out some of my favorite goodies to complete my Anti- Valentine, Luxuria's Belinda in Black is still a favorite out of my inventory. Sadly Luxuria is in the process of closing. If you're wanting some last minute goodies please visit. All items are only 50L, such a deal.

When I first tried on Miao's Ruby Lourdes top and Nichole Onyx I felt like such a lady. The color combination is perfect for the upcoming valentine holiday and gives a sweetheart vibe. Lusciously Red in The Body Co.

There's a new player in the SL skin department called, The Body Co. I first found out about this skin after creator Emma Gilmour announced in her plurk that the skin would be coming soon. I knew this skin was one I was going to purchase, the vendor ads looked phenomenal; and my anticipation grew into until it became a giddy school girl giggle in front of my computer.

I'm not the type of person that's in the habit of spending lindens carelessly and usually I wait for special events or purchase only one or two skins from a selected pack, but with The Body Co. I felt something a bit different and committed to purchasing the skin line. I knew from trying on the demo that some minor adjustments would need to be made to my shape, mainly my lips would need to be adjusted, but that was such a small price to pay to have this terrific skin grace my body.

So Here's the Breakdown...
Skin-Sage
Sage is available in three tones. The base skin package includes a nude skin with 5 different brow options. Black, Dark, Medium, Light and Ginger. Three different Cleavage tattoo layers are also included as well as a modifiable sage shape. Base package is 1600L

Cosmetics
Currently three different cosmetic options are sold, Bombshell, Pink Pucker and Starlet. Each cosmetics includes four tattoo layers marked Day, Flirt, Night and Party. Each Cosmetic set is 1000L while a package inclusive with all three is discounted to 2500L

Mineral Shadows and Lip Glazes
To further enhance The Body Co. skin line, Emma has created four Mineral Shadows and three Lip Glaze packages. Lip packages are 500L and include 5 different colors ranging in series such as Neturals Tropics and Pinks. Mineral Shadows are bundled into sets of three and contain two versions of each shadow.

In all I purchased Sage in the 03 tone and all the cosmetics, the total was 4100L and I roughly have 12 different options for wearing. I refrained from buying the Mineral Shadows and Lipglazes for now, because I want to experiment with other tattoo layers first and 500L for each set was a bit too pricy for me.

Things I'd love to see
I realize that in creating you can't always make everyone happy and the vast amount of hard work a personal self a designer gives when making for our community. I'm in no way complaining about the quality of the skin but only listing some additional things I would love to see in The Body Co's skin line. It's just my humble two cents or wish list.

Beauty Marks- I'd love to see the option to have freckles, moles and other skin markings. The're is beauty in imperfection at times.

Brow Options and Hair Bases- It would be a dream to see some different brow options come into play on this skin. Customizable brow shapes to fit your unique shape and enhance dramatic looks. Hair Base designs with different lengths and types of fringe and whisps added for extra effect.

Individual Lip and Eye colors- While I appreciate the bundling of the Mineral Shadows and Lip Glazes packs the main thing that held me back from buying was price. I wanted to purchase part of each set or only one shadow out of the bunch so buying a complete pack would have been a bit of a waste for me.

This past weekend Ivalde released some major newness in the sweet retro style that only Nef can create. Honestly, I don't know how Nef manages to get so many stunning outfits released, but I am ever so grateful and happy that she does. Today's looks are all inspired by my perception of the retro housewife. It was so much fun putting these looks together and creating little scenes. Hope you enjoy.

Good Housewife-
She's a dream come true in the kitchen. A culinary expert that can master baker that's always ready to provide that second helping of Meatloaf. 52 Weeks of Color- Week 13- Emerald

I had been pretty good about staying on track with Luna's 52 Weeks of color challenge, but sadly I'm a bit behind now. With Real Life getting a bit hectic I didn't have much time for blogging. I am happy to catch up and continue on with the challenge. Last Week's color was Emerald, which I thought would be an easy match but didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. Turns out, I don't own as much of the green hue as I thought. So this post turned into a great excuse for a shopping spree at The Sea Hole. The Sea Hole has been a shop I like to visit to find quirky cute dresses. Once I had purchased the Thriftscore dress I moved on to finding a suitable location. I was a bit tired of snow and cold and decided to take a jump on early spring and head to a field of flowers for this shot.

The next color coming up is Black and I already have my outfit ready to blog. I can't wait.

Sweet Sunday

I love Sundays, it's the day of the week I get to sleep in, take a nap and basically just lounge around without a care in the world. I find it hard to get dressed these days, mostly lounging around in a pair of jeans and tee-shirt, some days I don't even wear one. Today seems to be a prime example of that. My Somina, Untamed Heart bra and panties set is the perfect blend of cotton comfort. Untamed heart hooks from the front not in the back which made it a winning choice, perfect for the ultimate comfort experience. To keep warm I opted to wear my new Ninko big Shirt, which made me feel all snuggly, safe and secure. My fawn Pegged Jeans were sitting on the floor this morning, I had no trouble fitting into them as they slid up my legs and hugged my curves effortlessly. If only every day were as sweet as Sunday.

L'Abel-new release

Today is the day. L'Abel is releasing the new Winter Collection. When I got my sneak peek at the collection I became weak in the knees over it. Nef has done such a wonderful job creating each outfit. It was hard to narrow down my choices for a blog post. I picked my favorite four out of the collection to showcase today. Beulah, has done a wonderful job of showing some of the other dresses in L'Abel's collection, just in case you would like to see more.

I'm starting with my favorite out of the collection Itzel in gold. I adore the coloring and the pattern along the waist. I love the poof of the dress bottom and the sheerness of the underskirt, it's my new "go to" party dress. I plan on wearing this dress all weekend because how can you not when it looks this good.

Next up is Chaya in brown, I love this dress because of the pattern and zip up front. It's sexy, but dosen't put it all out there for everyone to see. This dress is available in three colors Olive, Brown and Purple.

Next is a two part set, Dulce top and Oona black short. I kept saying out loud to my hubby, "Soooo Sparkly" while I was wearing this pants set. I actually pulled out my dance animations and watched as the sparkles motioned across my screen.

Finally, Brielle dress in silver, to me this dress was a dream come true. I closed my eyes and swayed, feeling the asymmetrical cut of the dress hit my upper thigh and slide down towards my knee. I felt the cut of the bodice against my chest and I let out a deep sigh, Brielle was utterly..Perfect.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 12- Taupe

I almost let this challenge slip past me this week but I've been going so strong with Luna's 52 Weeks of Color Challenge I simply can't give up. This week's color is Taupe. my first thought, "What the heck is Taupe?" Thankfully, my good friend google was able to answer the question and I was in quick pursuit to find the color. When I do a color challenge I first try to use items I already own and are located deep within the crevices of my inventory. This outfit was found under my "costume folder" and was one I had for a long time. I've never worn it, but always wanted to experiment with using it in a photo.

I'm wearing YIPs baby snowtiger outfit, this complete goodie was a freebie. Yep, a FREEBIE. It was located in the now closed Gnubie store, but don't worry you can still pick up a copy of your own at her store. Four Yip, is a talented Artist, if you don't believe me check out her flicker stream. She even has her own store where you can purchase her items for RL enjoyment. I'm really a big fan of her art and currently have one of her photos as a screen saver for my computer and I phone.

Next week's color challenge is Emerald, which I think will be a bit easier to find, I hope. :D

What I'm Loving

Recently my real Life and Second Life have become busy and let me tell you I am loving it. I want to apologize for being a bad blogger this week, but I've been so excited by the newness. The new projects, new releases, new changes have me riveted, feeling energized and fresh.

Some things that I have been loving in Second Life are, this deliciously cute Dippin' Dots Top from Somnia, created by Sanura Snowpaw. As soon as she plurked it I knew I wanted it. I love the versatility of the colors she uses for this top because you can match them with almost anything.

I'm also loving my new home from LeeZu! The Modern Orient Beach House is so beautiful. I feel at ease sitting outside hearing the waves crash against the pier. I love the peaked roof and the fireplace. I can't wait to get started on decorating the inside. I know my photo is not doing this house justice right now, but if you want a better look my last blog post and video used the new home as the venue.

I'm also loving Exile's hair recently I've been finding myself drawn more to it because of the lucious curls that flow effortlessly. It feels so natural to wear Exile.

Giving A Peek

Just a quick post....

Over the weekend I completed 50L Friday and the Season's hunt and managed to snag this hair, from Lamb and shoes, from AddiCt. Ivalde released a new pack of sweaters, the "Laida Collection". This collection is completely cute and incorporates sculpts. The Laida Cardigan is not a granny sweater, but is one that is posh and completely cultured. The top two buttons are undone which leave a peek of an undershirt or for ladies that are a bit more brazed a bit of the decolorate. Laida cardigan is available in 4 bold, but not overbearing colors. A Win in my book. On to the Skin, Belleza today has released a new group gift skin. Erika is beautiful and a perfect compliment to look I pieced together.

Frida Style

One artist I've always admired is Frida Kahlo. I can remember my mother first introducing my sister and I to her art at a young age. She thought it was important for us to see strong Hispanic women in non traditionals roles. Perhaps, to help us realize that we didn't need to feel that we had to confirm or compromise ourselves. Recently I find myself thinking a lot of my mother's life lessons and turning more to Frida's art for inspiration. I left behind a couple of prints in America of both Frida and Diego's (Her Husbands) art. I'm a fan of both, and miss the comfort I felt from having them in my home.

It's only now as I've grown older that I've truly learned to appreciate the beauty of Frida's life and how much influence she carried as a strong Hispanic role model. I admire that she didn't follow the trends in fashion and rather choose to showcase her Mexican heritage by wearing clothing in bright hues, long skirts and eclectic jewelry. She's become a bohemian fashion icon because of her unique style. Today I'm doing my humble SL version of Frida's style.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 11- Indigo

We're on to week 11 in Luna's 52 week of Color Challenge. When I imagine the color Indigo, my mind conjures deep shades of blue, bright hues that light up the sky, ocean and are just so pretty. This week I decided to dive under the sea and become a SL mermaid for this post.

To complete my mermaid post I ventured out of my comfort zone and found a new store "FunnyCat's Nekoshop or Girl Shop". Isa Haas owner of the shop has recently started creating mermaid attire, I found this outfit on the SLmarketplace and it was fairly inexpensive.

I also managed to pick up some freebies from the Season's Hunt. I've been a fan of these hunts because the quality of work from the designers that participate is stellar. They are generous and continue to receive my patronage. Prizes used are from Shag and Cheap Makeup. The hair has been slightly modified from it's original look, originally it was softer and blonde, but after some slight color editing it became a vibrant blue. My eye makeup is from Cheap Makeup and is a great addition to the NEW Dutch Touch VIP exclusive skin.

Next week's color is Taupe, Right now I'm a bit confused how I can create a look using this color but I will try my hardest. After all it's a challenge...Right?

Aztec Princess

I was really relectuant to post this picture to my blog, but after some gently nudging from Frankie I decided to post and have fun. After all it's rare that I go through all the effort of snapping and editing a photo to not use for a blog post.

It all started with Finesmith Designs Xenobia set that was dropped off on me. Xenobia reminded me of an Aztec piece of jewelry because the main gemstone is accented with rays very similar to a Sun's golden shine. It seemed to be a perfect piece for an Aztec princess to wear.

I had to dig real deep into my inventory to find this skin, thankfully it survived inventory cleanup. The skin and loin cloth are from a very old runway show of the 2008 hair fair. The skin is created by Minnu Palen under the MMS name, now Lelutka. To give an extra bit of ummmph I added L. Fauna's shadow edge eye makeup.

The new to me store for this week is HUZ Tattoos, where I purchased the Mystikal tatttoo. I totally love the tribal feel and detail of this tattoo. I usually only sport one tattoo on my hands, but found Huz tattoos to carry a wide range of styles. I'll be making the rounds for more pieces.

I want to point out the big pyramid behind me. I actually took this photo inside some one's shop. The Mayan Pyramid was made by Sloan Nightfire, and is a great build in my opinion.

52 Weeks of Color- Week 10- Sienna

We're already on to Week 10 in Luna's 52 weeks of color blogger challenge! YAY!

I had a bit of fun with this post because once I found this outfit last week at L'Abel I knew I wanted to create a Steampunk look. I picked this up during that great sale at L'Abel where items were 50-75% off. Sadly the sale ended Jan 9th.

The Abela dress was one that caught my eye because of the feather skirt and high quadruple buckle belt that accentuates the waist. To me this was the steampunkesque part that determined the look. I also am a big fan of the leggings and high collar top because of the camo print. These little touches give an extra bit of edge and help make my aviator look realistic.

I accessorized my outfit by pairing Magika Hair- Fly (No longer for sale) with Reek's Boston Boots (Picked up at a 50L sale). Reek's open lace shoe is the perfect unisex shoe I found it to be such a perfect match I had to include a full body shot in this post. Once the outfit was complete I looked for a bit of steampunk accessories, Giahorn Band Carry- Pack was purchased on the SL marketplace. I was drawn to this because it reminded me of a homemade attempt to create a rocket pack. I loved the idea that I could soar from roof top to roof top wearing this little pack.

I did have some help with finding a location from Plurky Pal, Tiara Thibedeau. Who was kind enough to mention the Babbage sim as a excellent steampunk community. I did take these photos in the city hall building. I found it best for giving a view of the Babbage skyline. I did have a bit of trouble when taking these photos, but after editing I think it was worth it. I'm so happy with the way the first shot turned out.

I'm eagerly waiting for next weeks color, Indigo. I don't have an outfit yet, but I hope I can find something a bit wild to wear. ;)

Too Sexy

One of my New Years resolutions was to explore and branch out into new stores and designs in SL, I ran across Kennedy Gearz owner of Kennedy's Urban Wear while on this search. Kennedy was gracious enough to share with me her favorite outfit, "Too Sexy". Originally I was a bit scared by the design, NOT because it wasn't a good design but because at times I'm shy in th SL clothing department. Not that I'm an SL prude or anything, I just felt a little exposed in this dress. I decided to showcase two looks 1. (Above) the entire outfit in full with no modifications and 2. (Below) a look with a bit more of my style. I want to emphasize that Kennedy's is versatile and with a few changes will even fit a picky style, such as mine.

So looking at "Too Sexy" from top to bottom you will notice that it includes a complete outfit. Scarf, Belt, Dress, Shoes and Leggings. I personally love that Kennedy took the time to incorporate all the details. Some problems I did have were, sizing the belt and nipple coverage. To eliminate these problems I simply added a tattoo layer of duct tape and removed the belt, after that the look was ready for photo snapping and catwalk turns.

To complete my second look it took a bit more effort. I thought that the "Too sexy" dress made an excellent shirt and I added a sexy bra for extra coverage and a pair of leggings for a blue accent. I felt 100% comfortable and cute in this look. I was ready to hit the club and shake my little tush, Now bring on the music.

Now I'm gonna admit something kinda fun I did here to set a mood. While I was snapping these photos I actually was playing "Too Sexy", by that's right said Fred. It made me giggle as I used Glitterati's Sci-fi-Hallway

52 Weeks of Color- Week 9-Silver

First I want to give a big THANK YOU! to everyone that took the time to read and to comment on the inventory tutorial posts. I never thought that anyone would read them and I was simply floored when the comments came in, it really melted my heart.

Recently have been trying a new Kirstens viewer because of a tutorial I read by Strawberry Singh about depth of field and shadows, sadly because of my Mac computer I am unable to get these features working, so it's looks like I will continue abusing Photosho. I am; however, starting to like the Kirstens viewer and get adjusted to the new interface. Thank you Strawberry for sparking my interest in a new viewer and motivating me to try something new.

When Luna Jubilee announced that Silver was this weeks color on this challenge I knew the perfect shop to visit, L'Abel. Two reasons made L'Abel perfect, there is a huge sale and two I love the clothing. There were so many outfits available in Silver it was hard to pick one, but in the end I choose the Viella dress because The hood and long gloves made it perfect for winter. I also already picked out next week's color challenge, Sienna outfit. I've been working really hard on the look and can't wait to show it to you. It's also from L'Abel ;)

I have to point out some really cute things I acquired recently first off skin, Exodi recently released a new group gift Skin, Sylvan and it's gorgeous. I had the great chance of seeing this skin back in November when Exodi released a preview as a 50L Friday. I relly love the lip shape and the freckles on this skin. Also I picked up hair from Exile, Steph is really cute because of the optional side bow and wavy curls.

You survived Part One and Part Two of Inventory sorting, Well let's move on to the final phase, "Deleting...how to decide what to keep and what to say goodbye to". I admit to having a hard time letting go of some outfits, skins, hair and objects. I'm what you would call a pack rat, but not quite so bad to where it's considered hording syndrome, to me this is the most painful part of inventory sorting because it involves having a critical and harsh eye.

So here is how I normally decide what I'm going to keep and what I'm going to delete.

1. First off Strip Naked, That's right Detach it all from head to toe. We're in inventory deletion mode and need a fresh clean slate to work with.

2. Pick out your favorite Hair and Skin. You want to use the most up to date or newest designs you own, the skin and hair combination that makes you feel the best. By doing this you are already creating a standard for quality.

Set your standards. Everyone has their own personal standard for what they consider "good clothing". Personally I am NOT a big fan of overly photo sourced clothing, and prefer hand drawn or a cross between the two. So to me if an object is heavily photo sourced it's likely to fall into the trash.

3. Start going through your inventory and try on your clothing.
Ask yourself...
Do I like the quality?
Will I wear this in a year?
Do I own something similar?

Keep What you Love
If you can find one thing you don't love about the article of clothing get rid of it. Draw the line on older Items, unless *Vintage. Don't be afraid to tear apart an outfit meaning, Using only a shirt and trashing the bottom or skirt, vice verse. Just remember Be Critical, you already purchased the item and found it to be worth keeping, just ask yourself why?

When working with hair
Textures are key, Save styles with great textures. I tried my hardest to delete styles that were created before hair sculpts were introduced. 2008, is the oldest hair in my inventory and it's *Vintage.

Respect Your Vintage
At some point after you have purchased an Item it's Vintage, Let's say after the two year mark. These Items were originally designed and had great quality. They could have been the HOT item of the year, a limited edition purchase the point is they have major staying power and deserve to be kept in your inventory.

Vintage is also considered to be designs from stores that are no longer in business. You can't find these little gems again on the grid. Examples of stores are, Last Call, Old ETD.

Transferable Items
So I'm going to throw this out as a little tip in case you are feeling generous and are willing to take the time and look for transferable items. Like in RL sometimes in SL I like to donate items I purchased, just because I didn't find use in an item doesn't mean someone else won't. So perhaps finding a nice new resident to donate might be beneficial. There is always the alternative of selling at yard sale or gift to a friends. Remember the ONE thing you CAN'T do is KEEP.

So after completing my inventory Clean up I have only 17,532 items in my inventory. I lost a grand total of 4,717. And I'll let you in on a secret. I don't have a bare inventory. All my favorites are still in tact. I just feel a lot lighter now and am definitely ready for more shopping trips. :D Who's going shopping with me?
