Young Folks

What a surprise! My heart pounded and quickly fluttered as his avatar got down on one knee... I never expected this, but what a wonderful surprise......

"Oh Frankie...."

The sweetest guy in all of SL has asked me to marry him, (giggles) Of course i said YES! I feel like the luckiest girl in all of SL. He is the most caring person I have meet. He always brings a smile to my face and makes me laugh. :) I can tell him anything, he is a true friend in both my RL and my SL life as well. I care deeply about him and I couldn't ask for a more understanding or loving person to have as my partner. Time seems to move so quickly when were together and pass so slowly when we are apart. I cant wait till our wedding day. Huggs and Kisses to you, Frankie, you are my Lovie !!!

It has been so hard to plan this wedding with all the problems that SL has been giving me. I am practically going through withdraws from SL. I can use any suggestions about wedding planning as this will be my first one. If you know any good wedding spots, places to find clothing, or have any advice what so ever I would love to hear from you.

Oh yes, that's me. I look like a grey alien (lol). I haven't been able to stay in SL longer than five minutes without getting " unable to load gesture"..... funny thing, I never tried to do a gesture.

Young Folks
if i told you things i did before
told you how i used to be
would you go along with someone like me
if you knew my story word for word
had all of my history
would you go along with someone like me

i did before and had my share
it didn't lead nowhere
i would go along with someone like you
it doesn't matter what you did
who you were hanging with
we could stick around and see this night through

and we don't care about the young folks
talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too
and we don't care about our own folks
talkin' 'bout our own stuff
all we care about is talking
talking only me and you

usually when things has gone this far
people tend to disappear
no one would surprise me unless you do

i can tell there's something goin' on
hours seem to disappear
everyone is leaving i'm still with you

it doesn't matter what we do
where we are going to
we can stick around and see this night through

and we don't care about the young folks
talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too

Wound Up

Stressed and wound up, I decided it might be a good day to pack my bags and put on my beach wear. I needed a vacation and today was the perfect day. I headed out to one of sl best beaches Laguna Beach Club. It was nice to sit in the sun and soak up some rays. I listened to the calming sounds of the beach, the waves crashed, and became the perfect background music to soothe my soul. my reflection of previous days brought a smile to my face. I joined a Lucky chair group, attempted to master sl boutique, and finally added new items to my store.

Now I consider myself to be a shopaholic. I have tried to stop, but I just cant help myself. All this spending can get pretty expensive for a girl, and Lindens don't stretch as far as they once did. I had always seen Lucky chairs around SL. Usually I would see a random letter like Q and some lucky person, would hop on and get a free item. I would watch as the letter changed and hope that my letter would come up.... it never did. :( I figured there must be a better way. A quick search for lucky chairs gave me several groups whose mission in SL was to inform others of Lucky chairs and the letters that were available. I joined a group, and immediately I received an IM telling me the location of a place that had my letter. I was soo excited that I TPed to the store and hopped on to a chair and received my first free item. Here are some tips I have discovered while becoming a member of this group: First if you receive an item that you love or like, it might be a good idea to leave a tip for the store owner or purchase another item you like from the store. The items obtained on these lucky chairs are gifts from the store owner, they do not receive any revenue from chairs. Show them you appreciate their efforts and share the linden love. Another tip I might suggest is to be polite and return the favor of informing other people in your group of Lucky chairs and Letters that are available. Last be quick, several people might have the same letter as you and it might become difficult to get an item.

One of my oldest friends in SL has been asking me to sell my clothing on SLBoutique.com. He likes to give gifts but all of my clothing are no transfer, so he could never give out my items. I was a little reluctant at first to sign up, but I decided to give it a test run. SL boutique is a free service, so you can keep every linden you make from your items. It is very easy to use just go to the site SLBoutique.com and create an account. Once your account is created send a vendor package to yourself in world and follow the instructions on the note card. I will admit I had a little trouble at first setting up my items, but soon i got the hang of it and had four outfits on the site.

I redesigned my store. New items have been added and older items have been reduced in price. I now have a clearance rack (hehe). I'm sorry I was a little late on bringing out new items. Please feel free to stop in the store and let me know what you think.

Now with my day over I look out to the sea. I dream of tomorrow, and what the future holds for me.

zebra-skin fabric flows smooth down the curve of your back
we bump into a tourist waving an American flag
they come and go
they come and go
there's a blue sky turning pink it's quickly fading to black
whatever...
let's go to the beach tonight with a bottle of wine
baby it's a lot harder to stay in...
when you're wound up so, so tight

Over My Head

Hello Again, First I would like to thank you for looking at my blog :), feel free to leave a message on my blog or contact me in world. I am always willing to make new friends. I would like to hear from more people. Where do you like to hang out? Any advice on making the blog better? Do you have any fashion advice? What are some great stores in SL? I would really like to hear from you, the good, the bad, and ugly. hopefully i will get more good than bad or ugly :)

Now on to my topic of the day..................

Today I would like to talk about how you can help fight cancer. Earlier this week I had received some very sad news, one of my closest relatives has just been diagnosed with cancer. I have had some wonderful emotional support from my friends in SL. THANK YOU!!!!! I cannot stress this enough, I am so grateful for your friendship. Hugs and Kisses to you. ok, lets talk about how you can help.

I know you all have seen those purple kiosks around SL for Relay for Life. If you haven't made a donation to them, please do. The funds are going to a good cause. You never know who's life you might help save; or how you can touch someones life with your donation. As of today the SL community has raised over ONE MILLION LINDENS!!!! OMG! (last year the total amount was 40k) The funds donated are given to The American Cancer Society and help fund the fight against cancer.

"Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis."
The hair fair is here for a limited amount of time. A portion of the sales will be donated to Locks for Love. There is only a couple of days left, if you haven't made the time to visit please stop in and take a look around. You can pick up more than just hair here. You can also pick up a bandana to wear on 4/14 as that is national bandana day. :)

"The Cancer Monument in Second Life raises awareness, of both the real-life Cancer Monument as well as those attributes which the monument honors: unity, diversity, and hope."

Help Spread Awareness of Cancer. If you don't have the lindens to buy hair or donate, that's ok. you can still help by spreading awareness. Visit the Cancer monument in Second life and leave a message on the spaces provided. You can leave images, note cards, even short notes. If you know someone who has had cancer or if you have fought cancer yourself leave a note for others to read. your story might be the inspiration that someone needs. :)

I never knew
I never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a cue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears

In honor of spring I have decided to clean out my store and bring in some new inventory. So you know what that means time of a SALE!!! This sale will last until Saturday 4/14/07. I will have a sale at Bells Boutique. Almost everything is on Clearance, and at 50% things are going fast. Flexi Skirts that are normally 75l are now 37l, non-flexi skirts normally 50l are now 25l. So sad to see my first designs leave the store, but i have a whole bunch i am bring in.:) Here is a little sneak peak at what i have been working on. These outfits and many more should be available on Sunday 4/15/2007.

If you didn't know this about me I am trying to learn a new language, Arabic. I have taken classes in Real Life, but since I am on a vacation from school I have not had any practice or have i heard any Arabic spoken in a while. Fearing that I would loose all that I have learned I did a search in SL. I was very shocked and laughed a little when I found out that there is a class that teaches Arabic. I arrived in the class with pen in hand ready to take notes. (really i just copied the chat logs hehe) The class is taught everyday at 1:00 SL time by Spider Mycron, he is very friendly and answers every ones questions. I recommend you stop in for a lesson if you have any interest in Arabic, you just might learn a thing or two, plus its educational for both your Real Life and your Second Life.

Feeling Yummy From Head to Toe ;P

oh yes...the hair, its new! Picked it up at the hair fair 2007. If you haven't stopped by.What are you waiting for?! Its only here in SL for a limited amount of time and it is supporting a great cause Love for Locks. This hair makes me feel Yummy!

CandyMan...Sweet, Sugar Candyman

I have fallen in love once again with a new song. The song of the moment is Candyman by Christina Aguilera. I know its covered in a nice bubblegum flavor, but i just cant help it :P. As I was watching I realized I owned several outfits that look quite similar to the video. All were from my favorite store Artilleri.Artilleri Dressed to Kill...

I own so many items from this store, I don't think a a day goes by where I am not wearing something from Artilleri. So whats soo special about this store, well the style of clothing is retro, pinup, 1950 style. I totally love this era. Her store is very unique, it has a 1950 diner theme and makes you feel like you stepped back in time. Clothing is not the only thing to see at this store. There is a Gas Station, and Beach both are extra touches that make this place worth visiting. Here are my three outfits that pay tribute to the Candyman video.

Waiting for my Candyman :P

I met him out for diner on a Friday Night

He Really got me working up an appetite
He had Tattoos up and down his arm
There's nothing more dangerous than a boy with charm
He's a one stop shop Makes my panties drop
He's a sweet talkin' Sugar coated candy man
A sweet talkin' sugar coated candy man

In My Room

Hello Again! hm mm...... what have i been up to recently? First things First, I got my new land! (OMG) I was very excited when a good friend of mine showed me a great piece of property. I was reluctant on whether i should spend my hard earned lindens on it, but finally after shopping around for days i decided to purchase the land. The real thing that sealed the deal was this giant lobster my neighbor had on his land. As soon as I saw it I felt compelled to ride in the chariot and command the sea (he he).
That little dot is me! :P

The land is located on a nice quiet sim, and all the neighbors are soo nice. :)

Now since i am a total shopaholic, i needed my fix for new clothing, but i was very low on Lindens after buying my new land.:( Armed with a limited amount of lindens I made my way to one of my favorite freebie spots, GNUbie!

Gnubie is a great place to find all sorts of goodies. I come here often to see what new items are available.
I love this sign!

I found a great outfit from designer Emma Gilmour. I picked up everything that was available for sale (he he). My only disappointment was the fact that no landmark was included in the boxes :(. I only hope search is working so i can find her store.

I was also able to pick up a new gadget called SLateIt. It was created by Babbage Linden, yes a real Linden. This gadget has a HUD interface which makes things easier to control. So what does this thing do your probably asking yourself, let me tell you. It's a rating system for objects in Second Life. See something and love it give it a good rating, See something and hate it then feel free to rate it negativity too. Lets see if this item catches on! :)
